doublec's account was stolen, but I restored it to the proper owner.

Hi, theymos!

I was banned. My account was hacked, I did not create bad posts.
Please let me know how to remove the ban from my account.

I sent many messages asking for help, but you never replied.
What do I do? Please, help!

My account was hacked, but now I have full control over the account. I don't understand why theymos  don't answer PM on the forum or e-mails few months? I had not done anything against the rules of the forum. I don't know what to do!
Please tell me what other admins can help? thank's

Sock puppet?

I doubt it. That user seems to just spend a lot of time in the marketplace posting on things he has no interest in, but this is why it's a bad idea assuming things without any other evidence.

there could be false accusations that go unconfirmed.. it could be abused.

Hard to prove with most accounts though, though I guess a massive change in syntax/grammar is a big giveaway, but you could get false positives  Cheesy so I'd be careful about quickly negbombing users.

i think i should create an account name hilariousandca and send people dick pics  Cheesy

Worthless having a list because we cant prove that it was actually sold or stolen and that means anyone could say anyones account has been hacked or sold.

If you don't want to participate, then you don't have to help flag anyone. But the point is that even though most transactions happen in PMs, at least it lets the other party know that they're not dealing with the original owner that has gained trust or reputation.

Most accounts that are sold go unnoticed, but some are blatantly obvious like the guy I posted.

No need for a list, because you really can't prove anything. And I doubt every transaction for accounts occur in public. You can't get banned for doing it. I may disagree with it, but it sticks. So really no need to bring up hellspawns to see if a account is sold or stolen.

Please post any forum accounts that have been confirmed to be sold, purchased, or hacked (where the original owner is no longer the current poster). Sure they may be some legitimate reasons for doing this, but at the same time there are huge potentials for malintent, like scamming.

Post their forum name, as well as leave negative trust in their profile so that anyone deals with these people for goods and/or services can be informed, and make their own decision whether to do business with a purchased/hacked account or not. Comment the trust section with something along the lines of "THIS ACCOUNT IS A PURCHASED/HACKED FORUM ACCOUNT, it no longer belongs to the orginal owner" I'll start off:

doublec

Notice how the original owner spoke properly, while this guy has poor sentence syntax and grammar. He does not speak English well, especially in PM. Original owner stopped posting last year (September 2013), and this new guy just started posting a few days ago (June 2014), only in the buying/selling sections. What prompted me to check his profile is his odd behavior in PM when he contacted me to try to purchase BTC.
