It is one thing, listing the scam ICO's, but people should also be made aware of the exchanges that listed these coins, because they form a integral part of the problem by listing these tokens.  Angry

You can then look at the list and see what exchanges are being used to promote these scams and to trade these tokens. Stopping people from trading these coins, will go a long way to reduce the amount of victims who fall for these scams.

Exchange traded tokens should go through proper validation and very good KYC requirements, before they are listed.  Angry

I must admit that I can't keep the OP updated as there are a lot of scam ICO out there to be added and due to personal life matters. But I'm impressed for the work of ICOethics and scam ico buster in the forum who helped exposed these scammers. I recommend to see the latest and most active scam ico list by icoethics which you can see in the below thread.

ICOEthics - scam list 2018-2019

Also in their site ICOEthics is monitoring ICO Scams!

I will keep this thread open and/or will lock thread soon.

Take a look on rubius. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annicorubius-providing-exchange-wallet-and-payment-software-3254617 and their website https://rubius.io. After reaching their softcap there are no updates regarding the project and listing I even spoke to their telegram admin and the CEO even didnt responded to them. Kindly add this on your list if possible.

They did some strange half distribution and kicked a lot of bounty people from telegram group. The main guy has a  link with another group AI Zeus, promoted by bounty0x.
I raised there concern about AI Zeus being linked with Rubius. Strangely they tried to protect AI Zeus. In short, it seems the first is scam and the other is close to this. Bounty0x gets bad karma since do not even try to perform some due diligence.

Robin Linus exit scammed the project with 1/3 of the ICO money to "work on another project". They bought a 1.1 million dollar villa in Costa Rica and multiple teammates purchased real estates in 2018 using the ICO Money. Everything went wrong with this ICO. The ICO investors lost over -97% of their ICO investments. Robin Linus the founder of the project even posted that the ICO investors lost so much money https://www.reddit.com/r/Nimiq/comments/acsi27/future_of_nimiq/ . Their founder was kicked from the project due to drugs abuse from the project, while they were lying for over 8 months that Robin was still part of the team doing research rejecting the fact that Robin was kicked out and started to have "a severe drug addiction". Recently Robin Linus posted on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/Nimiq/comments/ado73k/future_of_nimiq/  that the project team members took control over the project ICO funds. They spent 1.1 million dollars to buy a mansion in Costa Rica, they wash the project money through "generous bonuses" and they are no longer interested in the project at all. They just want to burn all the ICO money and they are no interested in the future of the project. The network infrastructure costs more than $50,000 per month due to the fact they need to host seed nodes. They premined 2.5% of the network to donate to a charity foundation ImpactX, but this foundation doesn't exist and the funds as still owned by them. They ban everybody who is asking them about their funds or their project status on telegram, discord and reddit instantly. Multiple bitcointalk members started to explain the shady operations behind the project and the fact that due to their burning rate the project will become bankrupt and the project will become dead in just a couple of months. More information of how they wash the funds and about their shady practices on bitcointalk ANN topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1952324.1800

Robin Linus exit scammed the project with 1/3 of the ICO money proof: https://imgur.com/pr9aGxm https://imgur.com/5iz2iFX. Most probably the coin will be dead in a couple of months. STAY AWAY

Please remove nettekcoin from your scam list.

Your scam accusation is caused by the person who we paid to handle our white paper on fiverr, who did a very poor job caused us to be marked as scam. But we believe we have learnt alot.

For the cartoon picture profile, the site was still under construction and has not finished yet before launched. Now we plead admin to remove us from this thread before we are finally listed on an exchange which can cause us another damage.

Thank you admin.

heta.org is not yet proved Sad

I am part of its campaign and it looks a good project to me is there a confirmation that it is now a scam site so I can stop promoting this if proven a scam site, I don't want to miss the opportunity to be part of the campaign, because they have a lot of good reviews.

If so there's something wrong to your chrome try to clear cache your chrome.

Is it fine to submit websites for you to check if it is scam or not?

What is role of BitcoinTalk forum administrative team in scam accusations being made about all ICO's

No role from forum. Scam isn't moderated by forum. It should be moderate by trust system ( imo ). You can post here if you found any scam ICO or bounty thread. DT will handle it hopefully.

I know many of us are now a day trying to filter scam ICO with genuine one but I have a question here?

What is role of BitcoinTalk forum administrative team in scam accusations being made about all ICO's

I was going through the list of scam accusations here and even after proving they are scam I was able to find many programs still having a live bounty program going on?

So how the hell does that affect the scammer?

Bitcointalk forum currently is the leader for cryptocurrency forum and if they are not taking action against scam content, soon we will find more and more scam ICO's coming in this market.

What I feel is if a scam accusation is made against any ICO, the owner of thread should be notified to respond in a particular given period of time for that accusation and thread should be till then kept as closed. Once we get satisfactory answers for the content, then only the thread should be reopened. Obviously the scam accusation proof should be satisfactory enough to keep the thread closed.

This will save bounty hunters time and will also give them good chance in participating in Good ICO rather then working for Scam program. With more and more scam websites coming to the market, this needs to be implemented soon to keep everything on track.

Would like to hear comments on this.

Thanks

Here is our list for this week:
[snip]
Thank you. I added all of them to the list. These scammers are trying too hard just to come up with a new idea for their new ICO lol. I wonder if there are still crazy investors who still fall to these type of scams.

Updated.

Oh, man! That's an extensive list of scam projects. What surprises me most is that I see a lot of new(er) projects' names.

Has it ever happened that a project was listed here as spam but had proven legit later on?

What I meant is you should take your initiative out of bitcointalk and curate the list accordingly. In that way, if your website ranks up in the top results, it will be very easy for the newbies to figure out what ICO's are a scam. I'm pretty sure you'd have a decent earning model as well.
Yup, I just did a list of scam ICOs in my website. I'm trying to get this list on the first page of SERP, well I'm doing it to all of the page in my site, and it might take time tho.

There is also the same list, but in English: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/scams-of-our-bitcointalk-4701035  Smiley
Some of the sites listed came from this list, thanks for keeping it updated.

Thanks to all the reference links I will work on to it, will add those reports here asap after this weekend.

You missed many scams, if you want to do full list may I suggest you to take a look into suchmoon's, cryptodevil's and my trust wall? Honestly I am too lazy to write down all exposed scams lately, there are just too many of them.
Also, check this site https://icoethics.com, I believe you will find approximately 150 scam ICO's.
I just list all the scam ICO in this board I guess from 1-5 pages or so and some scam report threads made by ICOEthics since I can see most of his reports here. And thanks for the link it has numerous reports as well, I'll try to add them here one by one.

It is good thread, just keep it updated  Wink
Sure, I just added some of them.

This is a nice compilation! I still believe newbies who fall for such scam projects haven't done their researches on bitcointalk. So maybe a legit review site off bitcointalk which hosts this information is much needed. Most of the ICO's listed out in this topic are still reviewed as "legit projects" but a shit ton of bounty hunters on their blogs and some paid review sites.
Thanks, And I hope this list will help all these lazy newbie/investors to stay away from these scam ICOs and to these stupid bounty hunters who are still participating in this scam projects without researching the project first if they will be able to received their rewards or not.

Keep doing this good job mate!  Smiley
