~snip~

Nothing new that hasn't been seen many times before, so although I can't say how many of those "ideas" are still alive today, I know that at least one of those ideas is still alive. What I noticed is that, unlike other similar directories, there are far fewer categories here, and that is something that could still be worked on.

Another thing that should be corrected is that clicking on one of the external links loads the page in a new window instead of the existing one.

Does anyone know how to suggest and add new products to spend-sats?
I haven't done it yet but this is what OP recommends one should do if they want a service to be added
Users can add their own websites by simply logging in through the lightning network or write reviews and ratings of websites if they have used them and paid with bitcoin

I tried checking out the contacts part, and it's just blank, so there is no way of contacting support. Perhaps they should work on that part too.

I know a few websites that are selling watches with other products and they are accepting Bitcoin payments for a while.
Spend-sats should also add a lot more hardware wallets that can be purchase fir Bitcoin, they only have c0ldcard listed now  Tongue

I do not like the pay to Upvote concept, as each satoshi equals 1 vote, website design is elegant, and if there is a better way to prevent tampering with Upvote, it will be a good service, especially since you can log in using your Lightning wallet.

This is goto.com v2.  :/

Why don't you implement a way to allow votes based on proof of transaction with the website?

How will you prevent abuse from competitors where all it takes is 1 satoshi to Downvote.
I looked at the list of VPNs and they are good, but adding the option to arrange services in terms of price or privacy would be good, in addition to votes https://spend-sats.com/spendbitcoin/vpn/
https://camisatoshi.com/ was accidentally added to the HWs section

I like the idea! I'm sure there have been such similar attempts before, but sometimes the best ideas deserve a second (or third!) try. The plan to include both on-chain and Lightning Network payments is a useful addition. As somebody who sends money both ways, having one spot to get the full scoop on businesses could be super helpful.  Have you pondered how you'll make sure the intel stays current? That kinda thing matters.

That's a cool feature. But have you considered the option of adding new entries and leaving reviews for guest visitors?  It gets more folks involved.  But how to guarantee good sites get added? With open access, troublemakers could slip in junk.  Some ideas - let members vote out bad apples.  Or check each site before it goes live and  either way takes work.  You'd need to figure what fits best.

Many people get confused with Sign in with Lightning
Logging in with the lightning wallet replaces fast sign in with Google/Facebook etc

It is enough to just scan the QR code with your lightning wallet

You have more about it here
