We rebranded and refocused our project. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/litecash-is-the-first-fork-of-beam-and-its-mineable-too-what-how-5214161

That is a recently paid for review by Voskcoin of our project. We have self funded or community raised funds for things like this as well as some exchange listings. Yes, litebeam itself is dead, but the project lives on under the new name, focus, and community.

So I believe this is completely relevant. And after joining the team and knowing who is a part of the team and the reasons for not currently releasing their IRL identities I am in full support of them. I am not private member and don’t have a problem with my info being shared but I also don’t work for a company that would frown on me working on a blockchain project separate from my day to day.

.... I am not even sure why you are trying.

Well, I am clearly trying to talk to people and get them to give the project a chance, yet YOU chose to reply to a board in which I am doing such. So that’s why I am trying.

Not trusting a project is one thing, and I understand that, but to go as far as calling a project a scam on something like this is not something I understand.

-SteelReign

maybe you haven't understand it yet because you are not yet screwed of a crypto project that provide lies to the public. though they did not hold any crowdsourcing nor they have no premine, but if you know that this team is using fake profiles to hide themselves, what's your opinion on that? because for me, it means they have no long term vision for the project, that they can disappear anytime they want and sell whatever they have. and by the way, is this discussion still relevant? the litebeam.org is down already.  Grin

I don't trust projects who use pictures of other people to present them as their team members therefore you can't convince me to change my mind about it, I am not even sure why you are trying.

So no superman, batman, chuck norris, stock pictures, cartoons...for me, they all have that big "stay away" sign.

Ohh true. I guess if I am referencing the old info/thread, you wouldn't see the new stuff. That's my fault.

Discord is still the same (https://discord.gg/kga9sgg), however https://lite.cash is the new website.

Yes, halving is soon-ish. At the time of this posting based on the explorer, 159,471 blocks to go. At 1440 blocks per day, roughly 110.75 days. Expected Friday may 8th. Then every 4 years after that.

All this info is readily available on our discord, which I again invite you to check out.

Yes yes yes, I understand your concerns about the "fake team pictures". I acknowledged as much. I again ask why that cant be moved past? The mistake is well known and well documented, and whether it was right or not, the premise of the posting was not to intentionally manipulate or dupe anyone. Really not trying to take us down a rabbit hole but we also have people using Superman's picture and Chuck Norris name AND picture. Are you also concerned they are trying to manipulate people into thinking they are the real ones? Again, I understand the concerns but I am blown away by the lack of willingness to re-evaluate the project.

Thanks for your time, even if you have no intention of changing your mind.

Havling soon?

so I respectfully invite you to revisit the project.
It says here https://www.isitdownrightnow.com/litebeam.org.html site is down.
So other than the pictures issuefake team, really what is the issue?
FTFY. How many issues do you need?

I do find it funny how aggressively opposed you are to a coin in which you claim to be a scam yet know nothing about. It surprises me that you have made it to the level you have on this website when you do not seem to apply any actual logic, at least to this specific instance. I did not spend time to look at many of your other threads/comments but I find it hard to believe you haven't changed your mind on a coin over your tenure here. I do see your complaint however the issues you have reported and have been hung up on do not amount to a scam. There is not one single victim nor can be as it is not setup to be a scam and everyone is free to mine and sell or hold as they wish.

Here is a question I would like to pose to you, if the original posting had of been the same user names (which are legit) but used avatars instead of the pictures used, would you have any issues? Again, I was not apart of the team when that decision was made, but how can you really hold that against the team that has addressed and fixed the issue? At what point can you move past the initial issue and re-evaluate a project? How many months was this site calling Litecoin a scam before it was proved not to be?

I would like this to be more of an open dialog vs a back and forth scam-not scam argument, so I respectfully invite you to revisit the project.

I think its funny that everyone jumps straight to scam, "this is a scam ICO". "A real ICO wouldn't be doing this". You are correct. Problem with your theory is that it isn't an ICO. There was no pre-mine. There was no coin offering of any kind. There was no dev fee/tax. There is no official pool for the team to keep any mining fees. So other than the pictures issue, really what is the issue? I wasn't part of the team at creation back when all this went live however I have been in the community on discord and mining off and on since april or may and have never once seen or been part of anything scam-ish even. Was the pictures idea the best in my mind? No. Do I believe that condemns an entire project/community for doing such? No.

As I said in the Voskcoin post about this, I encourage anyone with questions to join the discord and post or even PM me directly. If you would prefer Telegram, feel free to hit me up on there. Go to the Official BAT/Brave group and search for @SteelReign and click my name. You will find me on the list of admins. Anyone that knows me from that group knows I am honest and a straight shooter.

It is SCAM period. If you can steal other people's photos claiming to be yours or your team, then that means you and your project and yuor shitcoins are not to be trusted. Eventually the shitcoins end up in the market/exchanges where they are dumped to innocent people.

So stop try to defend the indefensible.

not justifying what they did by any means, but other than the fake pictures -- was anyone scammed in any other way?

If yes.. how and when?

Really ! Is it OK to use fake team pictures for an project by your means ? Why do you think they would not scam the other way around later ?

Yes we saw that disclaimer "PSEUDONYMOUS" on their website, but it doesnt justify a reason to STEAL people's identity - which is a crime.
Here is the profile of one of the victims, you can see his real name, etc. He is not one of those stock photos that can be used without the owner's consent. https://www.linkedin.com/in/stenehall/
It really doesn't justify anything as far as the law is concerned what they did is inexcusable "pseudonymous" isn't even the right word to justify it.  mean they faked the whole identity not only the name but also the picture of the members (if they really do have one). Being pseudonymous only means using a pretentious name and it doesn't mean you can use another person's picture to do so. What they did simply belongs under the lines of identity fraud.

Another nice catch mate. These scammers always try their best to steal investors fund but forget that lies can't be hidden for a long time. I hope bitcointalk scam accusation board enriched with enough amount of evidence against this kinda scammers which will obviously help worldwide crypto investors in many ways.

Does this community know what pseudonymous means?? It clearly states "pseudonymous" on website. Our identities were obfuscated to protect our employment situation. We didn't want to extract value by name dropping XYZ tech company. There was a personal relationship between team member and name and/or photo.

Please judge project based on merit. But it seems like everyone here is just money hungry looking for a quick buck. If you are actually interested in adoption and having some fun sharing ideas along the way, come to our discord! removed
It looks like to me that they use one of those generic excuses scammers used when they got caught faking their team members. This is their response on why they are using fake identities in their ICO project. They also had used Satoshi Nakamoto's anonymity the same as what they are doing with their project now. If they are really a real ICO they shouldn't have done this bullshit but instead made their team really anonymous without faking any of their identity, their reasoning on why they done it is what merited them a negative trust from me as its a flawed reasoning done by a real scammer.

Terminated.
Nicely done as always. Gotta get a spreadsheet overview of all your accusation threads, or a nice over-time chart. Cheesy Tagged.
