I am very surprised at the price of Litecoin. I hope the Litecoin prices will increase further. The volume is increasing. Very good coins for a long time.
Litecoin, in my opinion, is not better than other Bitcoin fork coins like BCH, BTG, BTD, etc. Litecoin need much more innovation to make into the top 3 coins.

Litecoin looks good showing a sustained growth in the coinmarketcap list. Also the value of has reached is big, user holding a large volume expecting good profit for long-term will easily get the best out of the same. Expect the same to take place by the falling year.

Yes in some years may be in next 5 years or so these altcoins might reach somewhere near where bitcoin stands now and Litecoin has attracted many users off-late as litecoin was the most undervalued altcoin ever and now it's time for litecoin to rise up and grow me as it has already attracted some big investors and let's hope for the best better if the crypto currency market becomes more competitive then it may lead to some sort of new invention in crypto world to overtake each other and which will give more benefits to the investors.
The next LTC halving won't be until August of 2019...

I’ve been watching the LTC-BTC exchange rate on GDAX for a long time now and I worry it won’t catch up. There’s also a lot of pressure from other cryptos like Dash and IOTA.
This coin is one of the first to begin to grow when bitcoin falls and falls when bitcoin grows. It is like an antibioticin.
The increase in Litecoin price was way overdue. Now after the recent bump in price the Litecoin gain this year was 30x, something in between BTC and ETH!
Litecoin is indeed making a massive pump among all the altcoin listed on the coin cap market and if the pump speed stay the same till tomorrow evening that mean the pump in price of the litecoin is for real.
I believe in litecoin and plan to keep it at least up to $ 300. After the large growth of bitcoin, LTC can easily grow to $ 200 this year, and to $ 300 in 2018.

No, I think there is no such big news. It is just eating bitcoin now. You most know agar.io game, we all know that when a cell grows so much what happens to that cell and other little ones in the game
Exactly, that is not a correction, and litecoin has always been undervalued, and that is the only reason of why it has been going up too.
A lot of people switched their funds to LTC only because you can send transactions faster and cheaper than with btc.

It was very undervalued in relation to BTC. I guess that's all. I don't think that -8% in BTC price could be considered as correction. It will be very local and fast.

I think lite coin will continue upward price trend but slow and steadily as the track record says, major price movement is expected to happen after the halving.
The next LTC halving won't be until August of 2019...

It's the bull run that is causing it. Coinbase (which is where most noobs sign up) only offers bitcoin, litecoin and ethereum.
If you are a noob just looking at price, litecoin seems "cheap". Bitcoin is about $14,000, Ethereum is at $462. Litecoin is at $144 - therefore it is the "cheapest" and people are buying.
I expect if coinbase offered Doge, all the noobs would buy that thinking they got a fantastic bargain!

As far as I know, the litecoin network didn't get any new developments. Charlie Lee has been showing up in more YouTube channels, so maybe awareness is increasing. Coinbase is also getting a large number of new users, and i you check coinmarket cap, 26% of LTC trading was done on Gdax, so maybe some of those users are coming into LTC as well. I also think LTC is undervalued, so I'm not surprised by this price movement. Finally futures is coming in, and I think that sometimes people use LTC to protect themselves against possible decreases in BTC price.

Litecoin team implemented many Bitcoin features earlier. Very stable price and community
All the Litecoin need is a bit of marketing (maybe) and partnership with any really HUGE world brand.
Like NEM partnership with WeChat that was announced a few days ago.
But even without such kind of news, I believe that LTC price will increase. Long live Litecoin

Lite coin is on a good status already. People who invested in it almost multiplied their money . Lite coin definitely have bright future ahead.

IMO yes, I think LTC will reach $1000 in the future, but that should take years. With Bitcoin price going up, most altcoins will follow.

There's no much news behind the litecoin momentum increase in price than the bitcoin transaction congestion and if you check the coin cap market closely you see that Ether is also making a huge move either.

There is a new agreement between litecoin and steam, steam is going to accept litecoin as a mode of payment. This news has been awaited for long and a lot of people invested in litecoin a few days ago.. Edit :- You can only buy steam vouchers with litecoin it seems. But still it's a big news.
I just dont think the technological differences is enough to really make it competitive to bitcoin. Bitcoin is bitcoin, so it is going to be hard to compete against it. For that reason, I am not invested. However I am keeping up on the project.
Litecoin is a stable currency I know. No big development news yet is stable and people have more faith in it.
