Marketing according to the Litecoin foundation is organizing parties, called events.
https://www.litecoin.net/events

I find it curious that people need a get together with likewise minded people in order to convince non crypto people.
A trip to the klarna headquarter, or stripe would have more benefits.
The Litecoin foundation owns a parts of a bank, that should at least open a few doors.

Indeed they would have turn up to be among the best if they maintain their white paper. Let them have a good marketing system  I still think they will do better within a short time.

They have a marketing department, unfortunately not really forthcoming when asked to tell what has been done.
We, the user base have to do the marketing others get paid for to do,

Litecoin has always been a good investment. Sure it has ups & downs but that’s true for every cryptocurrency. It’s actually the Litecoin halving in less than 2 months. As with bitcoin this is likely to cause a rise in price in the not too distant future. You can follow the countdown here -

And an approval from the any of these CEOs. Which might later be like the Bitcoin ETF and SEC approval for example.

You can't be serious, when Paypal was bought did the SEC call them?
Litecoin just as Bitcoin does not have a CEO. Unlike bitcoin the creator of Litecoin is still among us though.

Paypal now allows for crypto, that should be interpreted as a easy going for most firms.

ETF are a finacial instrument, none of the ETF holder gets even to see the keys. Its plain speculation.

I said fir example.. I didn't mean its SEC related

Ive seen some videos on reddit where Litecoin is being accepted for transactions but not as much have seen Bitcoin. So, Litecoin wont be the first coin to be accepted for transaction even they camp in front of Ebay building.

It wasn't really to be taken literally,
all it takes is a phone call from the marketing CEO (Litecoin Foundation) to the Sales CEO of eBay, Stripe, Klarna, etc..

What Litecoin lacks is marketing.
The Litecoinfountation should camp in front of the eBay building, trying to become the first coin to be accepted for transactions

Yeah.. I'm not up to date about Litecoin. I mostly follow Bitcoin update. Thanks for this update anyways. Although, Litecoin might lack profit in FIAT for now but it's temporary.

LTC doesn't have enough attention because there isnt much development on it.

You seem not up to date, LTC has shares of a bank, offers Creditcards for LTC, has done updates, set new security standarts with mimblewimble etc.

What people seek in Litecoin is plainly a profit, they should trade wheat bushels there is much more to made.
Litecoin is the better Bitcoin but it lacks what people seek, Profit in FIAT.

If Litecoin should have a smart contract enabled feature in the longrun, it'll give ethereum a good match for the technology. I hope they can look into it and see the possibilites that exists therein

I hope they do not listen to you.
Smart contracts are mainly for the fast gripper, have a look how many smart contracts have been used to rip people off.

Litecoin has slowly gained grounds in the space after Bitcoin, the fact that people trust the security level on Litecoin also puts it in the spotlight of coins to look out for. Charlie lee is always rolling out updates and upgrades with his team, it makes more people believe in the project and are slowly adopting it.

LTC doesn't have enough attention because there isnt much development on it. I've always been saying this and I will keep saying it. LTC has good future ahead. Although, I'm not buying more but I paired some with Bitcoin and ETH on the Bitget smart portfolio I use to automatically DCA some lite coin for me when they both pump against it. So, Litecoin might look weak now but I'm sure that it's gonna be more huge later.

I generally think that the crypto world needs at least 2 or 3 strong decentralized chains (i.e. not managed by a closed team which premined or instamined most of them or sold them in an ICO) apart from Bitcoin.

Currently Litecoin, Dogecoin and Monero are the most prominent ones. And as Litecoin is easier to use than Monero, and is not as hypervolatile (and Musk-dependant) as Doge, I support the notion that it is sort of "underrated". Even if it is used quite a lot actually.

There used to be Dash but it has lost ground and also its decentralization is less marked. I think the current best contender to complement BTC, LTC, DOGE and XMR is Kaspa but its launch wasn't as fair as LTCs (more comparable to Dash) and thus the centralization dangers are higher.

I do Btc,Ltc,Doge I mine them hold them and use them for transactions.

Its not just about trading, it is the best version of a P2P coin there is.
No need to have a seconadary coin to pass on value.

What Litecoin needs is better press, and a better standing here Wink

5 and 1/2 days to go - let’s see what or if anything happens to the price  Smiley

Well If a coin does not perfom as you wish it to perform just maybe you should get rid of it.
How high was LTC when you jumped on the Litecoin wagon?

I'm talking in general and not just about the latest update, I had good amounts of LTC, over the past years I expected to see a significant increase in the price but unfortunately it seems that the coin does not have an active development team behind it.

Just take a look into https://github.com/litecoin-foundation/
Yesterday they uploaded an update. The development team is rather small. For that small team they do a heck of a job.
What litecoin lacks is marketing.

2022 is the latest major update?
What makes you doubt them?

Now there are about 2 months left for the LTC halving, let's wait and hope that the bull will happen for LTC?

I was always looking forward to a bright future for Litecoin, but then I gave up on the idea.
I once expected LTC to be the heir to Bitcoin, but I doubt it now.

I’ve always had a soft spot of Litecoin and it’s had a nice steady increase over the last year - 45% - with a good bit of volatility for the traders Smiley
Thanks for the heads up on the halving, I’ll be keeping a closer look  Smiley

I discovered LTC a tat late.
Traded in the 80 but then trading was a different ballgame.
I cannot fathom why people like a coin and short the same coin. No ofense Wink

When it comes to cheap transactions Litecoin stands up well but could be replaced by other more efficient altcoins.
---
I'm curious, why are you so bullish on LTC? Is it for the speed of transactions? Low fees?

Its one of the few which is decentral, its fast and has low fees. Plus its maintained quiete well.
I wonder why its not more popular, ok there are 25 000 other coins most of which are well central but promise more.

Replacing Litecoin by others? That will be difficult, as most of the others don't even honor their Whitepapers.
I propose to make whitepapers editable. There will be huge surprises from their respective fellowship.

Crypto Swap Exchange
Personally one of the only real usage I have for Litecoin is the fact that it can be merge-mined with Dogecoin. It makes mining with Scrypt profitable (even if the profitability is boosted by Doge principally).

I use it from time to time to buy BTC at ATMs, when BTC fees are too high (Ordinals hurt me haha). Once the mempool empties a bit, I exchange it for BTC, I lose 1% in fees but it's not a big deal. I have to admit that it's very convenient for that too.

When it comes to cheap transactions Litecoin stands up well but could be replaced by other more efficient altcoins.

In any case Litecoin is definitely useful (from a strictly personal point of view) for particular purposes, but I can't think of any other coin that can surpass it in its category.

Litecoin has gone thru an update unlike many others.
I think LTC deserves a little more attention.

Sure everyone holding a coins & wishes for exactly that but hardly any (crypto) has done as much with so few people.
What do you think?
