For me, Litecoin prices will continue to rise in the next few months as the market is consistently stable and a lot of investors and whales are involved, which makes the Litecoin market always attractive if long term investment

This is just my opinion and i might be wrong.

Litecoin has gone through a dark age around 2 years hovering at $4, and many people gave up on it as a lot of other scrypt-based cryptocurrency appear.
but starting April 2017 it suddenly make a comeback to $40 in few days and going $60+ now. And it is in the top 5 on the marketcap ranking, https://coinmarketcap.com/
Looking at the graph, https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/litecoin/, Litecoin is still going up for at least few weeks or months.

In addition, the new asic scrypt miner is going to launch soon. As in my country, Indonesia, it will launch on November 2017. The new L3+ antminer has the power of 504Mh/s, which means each of the Machine has approximately 2.5% of the network hashrate now. And i only God and the factory that make them know how much hashpower they will produce at the end of this year.

The chances are:
1. Litecoin Marketcap will rise which will increase the price
2. Other Scrypt-based coins will be more popular which will decrease Litecoin price

Those are the 2 main possibilities that i could think of right now.

In my point of view, again i might be wrong, the deciding factor might be the blockhalf which will happen in another 715 days according to http://litecoinblockhalf.com/

Well, that's all i can share in predicting litecoin, i still believed in the cryptocurrency and litecoin is one of them and one of the early-born.

I am sure that litecoin will hit $100 in the 2 years and sorry for that I am sure also it will hit $4 again in the future so both views are true and will happen.

Litecoin price as been incredibly resilient in the past weeks, with all the FUD and volatility in the markets, litecoin has become a great hedge against bitcoin and altcoin market.

Litecoin has a great future, keep it in your portfolio, it's a solid bet.

It will be the good chance for LTC lover to invest, since the price will surely down.

I agree with you if Litecoin goes to the 2nd position of coinmarketcap later, it's just that everyone prefers Ethereum to be there, I prefer litecoin go to position 2 coinmarketcap and as the second best investment besides bitcoin

LTC already reached almost 2X growth and there is chance of some more growth yes it may reach 100 $ end of the year because lots of traders looking for oldest exist coin for bitcoin conversion to altcoin on or before august first segwit.

Holding LTC long-term is a good bet. It is going to be $100+ on next big crypto rally.

It is, just have the patience to hold on to it. Most traders and a lot of trusted one's predict that the price of LTC will skyrocket after the fork. Saving LTC for a year is worth it.

I am not much sure about what is going on with litecoin. Now that segwit has been adopted by bitcoin, how will the litecoin fair? From what I understood, ltc was just testing grounds for bitcoin. I am however bullish on ltc for long term and also awaitin the august 1st news from MIT!

Litecoin is up 6%, the other coins have gone up higher against BTC in the recovery. Ethereum is up 24%, Ripple is up 21%, NEM is up 23%...

We'll see how it goes in the long term and by long term I mean the next few months as the HF approaches.

I hope for its further development. It is now among top cryptocoins, its market cap is growing. Of course, it's far from that of bitcoin or ethereum, but at least it has demonstrated an upward trend.

  Every week litecoin increases is very suitable to invest and according to some opinions, litecoin will peak in late 2017, so hopefully it happens. I always look forward to the surprise of litecoin

I the price of litecoin for sure will increase in the next few weeks. So its better if you buy litecoin because the price is good and for sure you will earn a lot of money or profit after few months. But dont invest all your bitcoin in litecoin because we dont know what will happen in the litecoin. But its your choice if you buy or not. But for me i will invest again in litecoin in the next week. Litecoin you make a lot of profit.

Is there any particular reason for the price raising previous week? From 28 to above 40 in a matter of day. Seems like it is slowly getting back to lower... Was it something particular or just general pump or small bubble as I think most of the coins have risen during that week. Should we expect price drop to around 25 for some time or is 35+ a new low for this coin.

$ 200 I think it's too high, friend. Indeed you are right Litecoin is a coin that includes can last for the longest and now the price is increasing. Litecoin is rising from a downturn some time ago, I'm sure the price will increase. But I am not sure it will reach $ 200 because it is still too far away. Maximum price in 2017 for Litecoin I think $ 90 - $ 150.

But it can't be a good reason, The segwit already given the trust about litecoin. That will need off-chain development to attract the new investors to buy litecoin. I mean the team lack of development about the features of litecoin itself.

With Segwit done and the Litecoin founder back on board and working full time on the project I am hoping for $100 by the end of the year! 

The Litecoin network is like an open empty highway right now, compared to Bitcoin which is more like downtown Manhattan at rush hour!

Many bitcoin users know about LTC (litecoin) and one long coin that has survived until now. With segwit lock upgrades and good security for now. The joining of LTC to Coinbase. I think many old users will come back to LTC, my prediction ltc will experience a pretty good raise and always mengalamin increase. My estimate is about $ 200.

I think litecoin will reach $100 before the end of this year 2017 and i hope it will happen . So its better to buy  litecoin now because the price will continue to increase in the next few months. LTC can surely pull a 10 Billion! Litecoin is what Bitcoin should have been. The transactions take place at supersonic speeds unlike bitcoin where the fees is high and sometimes it takes days for them to process. In my opinion LTC could go mainstream. Also it got added in bitstamp and MIT is making some announcement on 1st Aug regarding LTC. Things look bright for LTC to me.

$100 should be the new target for 2017. Just need to get past old all-time highs around ~$63.

BTC getting a pump, just to be clear everyone is buying BTC pumping it up. Just wait now for the BTC dump when BTC profits then goes to alt coins and in LTC.

We will see a moon soon.

with this segwit news everyone is really waiting for the big results i might say that 50$ is really possible to reach, the more people who's accumulating and keep buying while the price still cheap will really attract newcomer to invest with this project, i'm silently buying little by little and will wait for the full use of segwit.

there is a lot of good news about litecoin these days, one after another. and the developers team is surely super active these days and they have also joined forces with the developers who were working on lightning network and when it is implemented i would expect a lot of hype and more good news leading to a much bigger rise.

for now there is also a lot of good attention focused on litecoin and that is a very good thing. the price has been playing around the 0.01BTC but there is a very strong resistance at that price. and that shows a good number of traders are trying to buy in at any chance they get.

all that said i can easily see a rise to $30 in short term, then after a while another easy rise to the $50+ and above. but i think it would be a bit hard to reach $100 since that is a big rise compared to the current $15ish price.

All the segwit hype for LTC is over as traders are focusing more on ETH and XRP. The good news is LTC managed to stay above its support level of 0.01 BTC despite being dumped a few days ago. I believe someone is quietly accumulating behind the scenes and waiting for the segwit activation being pumping the price to higher levels. If you have the patience, you can buy LTC and wait for segwit activation before selling.

An easy $100

i agree that SegWit and lightning network and then by a very small amount, addition to coinbase are good news for litecoin but a pump to $100 is not easy for this big coin. last time it took a whole lot of Chinese to pump it to $50ish price and that didn't even last. and all of these "improvements" aren't going to magically make litecoin that is barely used a better coin.

also the second place will always belong to ethereum because it has so much bigger manipulators who won't even let the price come down and it has a lot of coins available and is creating a lot more hence increasing the supply and as a result making a fake big marketcap which will keep it on top.

I Predict that LTC will breach 100$ easy this year, it is just a matter of time and LTC will claim back 2nd place throne in CryptoCurrency.
