In short term I agree with ohiwastedmylif (except the downtrend to 0). It will be a roller-coaster for a while.

there just needs to be more development of services to use litecoin for, but since everyone is trying to get rich quick off their own FOTMcoin, nothing is really happening.

it will happen eventually, I just didnt think it was going to take this long

so who's to say once all bitcoins are produced that websites won't just move on to the next coin?

If I were a huge holder of btc, I would trade all of it for alternate coins right before the final block was found

they're nothing but a bunch of code, it's about the services

hm, I'd guess closer to .1-.15 tbh

.1 just seems like a good number for the time being

makes everything easier, 10 litecoins = 1 bitcoin

Yeah your right it sounds nice but I don't know if the support for litecoin is there yet. There are already significantly more litecoins in circulation than bitcoin. The price of bitcoin will rise, despite todays fall, as mining becomes more difficult and bitcoins become more scarce. Litecoin on the other hand is still pretty easy to mine and easier to obtain which will keep the price from exploding too much.

Bitcoin won't become more scarce; the same number of Bitcoins will still be produced in the same amount of time.

Sorry but thats just flat wrong.  Bitcoin just had its block size halved several months ago. Roughly half of all bitcoins have been produced since it was created in 2008. The remaining half of all coins are scheduled to be produced over a much longer period (10+ years) with more block halvings to come. Obviously that means they are not being produced at the same rate anymore.

However, only those with ASICs will profit off of it; GPU farms will become inundated.

Better start mining some LTC before all those huge farms move over to LTC.

it's also much easier to use and due to the factors you listed above, has much more appeal to the casual crypto fan, assuming they can find out about it in the first place.

casuals > hardcore bitheads

in the grand scheme of things, there is more money amongst the millions of casual users than the thousands of major bitcoin holders

and their money is actually tied to something, not a website that is run by incompetent jackasses who corner "80 % of the bitcoin market" and 80% of the bullshit that goes with it

rest on you laurels now, it only takes a small fire to set them all ablaze

don't be stuck sitting on it when that happens

$15, $20 + realistically... Hoping for $1,000,000,000. Can see $50 + in the not so distant future.

of course I feel that in the future Litecoin should really just replace bitcoin but I doubt that will garner much support on here

depends on how much Mt Gox fucks up the process

Very true. They seem to have a knack for going down when you really don't want them to.

The price will of course go up when it first happens. And then there will probably be some market adjustments to settle somewhere between .04 -.07 btc.
