- why is it better to mine Litecoins than Bitcoins if you only can use a CPU?
Because you mine litecoin and sell them for bitcoins. You gain much more bitcoin in that way than directly mining bitcoin with a CPU

- what is the Litecoin to Bitcoin exchange rate (or where could I find it?)

I saw in a thread (I forget which...) that it is more profitable to CPU mine for Litecoin than Bitcoin. Seeing as I don't have a mining GPU yet, I put on the Litecoin miner overnight to give it a shot, but I have a couple questions:
- why is it better to mine Litecoins than Bitcoins if you only can use a CPU?
- what is the Litecoin to Bitcoin exchange rate (or where could I find it?)
Answers would be appreciated.
