Amount of public bids:

BTC ~$2.5 million; litecoin $3,600.
Not sure which "public" numbers you were looking at, but they are most likely misleading; having accumulated quite a few Litecoins, I've never used one penny of fiat money, my bid never appeared in the "bid" column of the LTC/USD pair.

Additionally--

If you think you will somehow make a fortune in litecoin, think again.   There is no "time" for litcoin.  If something irreparably damages bitcoin, litcoin will suffer the same fate.  errr.. I mean, it will never take off.

Having a glass of vino before bed, I thought I might look at litecoin.  After doing so, it's obvious that the market tells the tale--

Amount of public bids:

BTC ~$2.5 million; litecoin $3,600.

Kinda of makes you wonder if it's worth all this effort for something that isn't really pioneering.

Nice..... among people who have voted, 62%~65% have Litecoins. Very close to the magical "Golden ratio".

Edit: it's 68% now...

After this December, the LTC:BTC generation rate will be 8:1 in absolute term. If it passes the test, I see bright future ahead.

Litecoin is either headed for a slow death, or a very good hedge. As it is every day.

LTC/USD long term chart looks much better than LTC/BTC chart, meaning LTC is holding value but not appreciating like BTC does.

Which is understandable because it's generating four times as fast. Also BTC has been pricing in the impending halving of block reward.

It seems voters are evenly divided between having significant LTC exposure (>5% IMO), and not having it.

Or this is a small percentage of total users of litecoin.

If you don't have Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies, please don't vote.

Most Litecoin users are Bitcoin users as well, while some Bitcoin users hate Litecoin, for various reasons.

This poll is mostly to gauge how diversified Litecoin users' CC portfolios are.

Since this is posted in the Alt-chain section, the result may be skewed somewhat toward alt-chain minded users.
