Most cryptos have always gone for silly money on ebay for largely the points FrictionlessCoin mentioned, plus buying them on ebay with paypal is so much easier for newbs. They've always had a premium price on there, but it's getting ridiculous now. People are actually paying multiple times there worth in some cases.

LiteCoins on Ebay selling for silly money. Is arbitrage a real word. There is something stopping traders from bring down the price.
Or is there a problem with Ebay themselves.

There is a lot of reasons why the price is at a premium.

(1) The speed to get money in.
(2) The cost ebay and paypal charge for the transactions.
(3) The risks the seller has to take against charge backs.

Honestly, for me, just not worth it.  But if you are willing to take the risks, you can make serious money playing the arbitrage.

It must be true what you say or the price would be the same as the other markets. The fact that someone is selling litecoins for £11 on Gumtree.
