Hasn't LTC basically been tracking BTC recently? Like it needs BTC to go up for LTC to go up further, especially to $50!
I guess I'd agree with the OP about the price rise in LTC. I'd also agree that LTC is tracking BTC in some ways. I expect that LTC will go up in value but I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I think that LTC is going to reach $50 before christmas and then after that I think it will get to $100 especially due to the fact that there are now ASICs for LTC. https://alpha-t.net/product/scrypt-asic-miner/
