what i  don't understand is why  this forum  doesn't do anything about these scammers   like yolo

i mean it's clear that he scammed   so why is he still on  this forum and  why don't they do anything against his account like ban him ?
Scams aren't moderated unlike spams, but thankfully we got a trust system and user ranking available to make our own decision whether to deal with that particular individual or not. Here I agree that I made a "shut up and take my money" scenario myself Sad

Even if the screenshot is perfect no one can do anything with this type of screenshot
You're right, I did learn my lesson from this and wont get into such traps ever again!

Don't you know screenshots can be tampered? What had he lost now? That VIP Diamond 3 seems to mean nothing.
Even if the screenshot is perfect no one can do anything with this type of screenshot. No one can take legal action based on this type of evidence for this amount of funds. Actually, we should not rely on any reputation and/or property out of the forum and/or to which we can't get access.

I gave him a loan even while he was a newbie just based on the VIP diamond 3 stake account screenshots shown by him to me on tg. )
Don't you know screenshots can be tampered? What had he lost now? That VIP Diamond 3 seems to mean nothing. And how the H you trust a newbie on the forum with $200+ no collateral loan? It's was meant to be lost, it's time for you to learn your lesson.

Sorry for your loss but tagging and flagging the account means nothing. He is not going to lose anything.

P.S: May be you need to remove the phone number, it's supposed to be in the investigation board.

The forum does not interfere with users' business problems, so scams are not moderated in this forum (point 19 forum rules). The forum already has a trust flags feature to contribute to prevention and warning of this kind of risk.

Legal action must be taken by the victims if they so desires.

Such responses mean that you have no regrets, that you have defaulted on a personal reason, or that you need the money.
I am now sure that this account has many alternatives, so search and you will find one of them active and participating in on of bounty/signature, such scammers will not stop looking for easy money.

For sure (poor or not poor) scamming a ridiculous sum like this is a complete waste of time.
What has learned Yolo89? How to scam 200 usd randomly? Oh wow, what a big life lesson! Roll Eyes

It totally depends on Stunna whether Stunna will handle this type of case or not. If Stunna handles then I think Stunna will be able to help. Scammers never learn anything until the scammer loses something or pays something for the scamming. A few years ago someone gave me collateral that showed value on etherscan but that has no value actually later I got the same number of tokens and received more than owed by the scammer. Then the scammer learned how many mistakes the scammer made. Tried to get back the token but I have not returned it as there was no communication before that and the due date passed.

$220 ism't a guaranteed number even for 1 month, so what for the next months? Trying "luck" again by scamming people? I think he should think of another way harder.

220$ is worth nothing for a developed country. But many people in developing countries, as well as non-developed countries, can't earn this type of fund in a month even 2 or more. We do not know which scammer came from which country. And scammer will not stop their plan to scam more and more ways and also they will only not scam they also wok too. This scam can be considered a bonus for them.

I don't think so, the fact is his account doesn't have any reputation and he can easily earn $220. Nothing to lose and he can create another new account.

I don't mean about his account, of course he can create as many accounts as he can. $220 ism't a guaranteed number even for 1 month, so what for the next months? Trying "luck" again by scamming people? I think he should think of another way harder.

What Ed could do is message Stunna (https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/stunna-81292) or some other stake rep here and explain him the situation . With the wallet address he can identify the owner of the stake account and just maybe get him some consequences
Hey, I just sent a personal message to stunna regarding the situation as suggested by you. Although, I am least hopeful but its worth a try. Thanks again mate. I see you and @shasan are very helpful since the beginning Smiley

There's no way for any centralized company will reveal their customer's identity if the one who ask it has zero reputation. Considering if Yolo89 was telling his username account in Stake, no proof if Yolo89 is actually own that's account. Someone can just create alt account and claiming if he own x account in Stake. Also this case doesn't have any financial lose or gain for Stake, they wouldn't give any shit about it.
Atleast they can ban his account if he has hacked someone else's stake id.
Btw, Im quoting a bet id post made by him, dunno if this could be of any help but still...

Bad reasoning. Scammer has no small/high amount. They would simply take any amount regardless of where they belong to.

Anyway, it was supposed to be happened but OP trusted somehow. Don't know how he did despite all the warning in this board. Sad to see this. OP, next time don't forget to take collateral when you loan any amount. We have seen high rank member has scammed for very small amount too.

I really don't understand how KYC would have been of any help
KYC can't help anything to a lender. If the borrower defaults then the lender can not do anything with the KYC whether the KYC document is valid or fake. Because from one country it is impossible to do anything with such type of document for such amount of fund. And at the same time, it is almost impossible to do anything even if the borrower and lender are in the same country.

Does he provide complete details of his stake account? You can get his details from Stake since he might undergo KYC due to high VIP level status. This scammer probably lose the money he loan from you on gambling then decided to default the loan and start from scratch. Busting this game real identity through a police request will make his modus stop now if he provide his stake account complete details.
Yeah, a court order and police letter could put him a step closer to having the details of the scammer revealed by stake.com is he still has proof of the scammer's username. But well, screenshots can also be easily manipulated.

I am still surprised that OP easily gave a newbie with zero reputation her a no-collateral loan, worth that amount  Cry

Well, its a big shame that he defaulted, and also a bigger mistake on your part for trusting and agreeing to offer a newbie a loan to the tone of $220.
You should have known he had nothing to loose if he decided to scam you(like he later did).
Showing you he's rank on stake means absolutely nothing, stake can't ban him or block his account for defaulting a loan here, it's probably none of their business, and he isn't in stake's signature campaign which would have been a thing of worth and I believe he would have been afraid to loose..

Anyways, sorry about your loss, I really hope you don't make such a mistake again.

We can't rely on any intellectual property. ANd there is no value for any KYC document to a lender.

I really don't understand how KYC would have been of any help, first, those IDs would have to be real which you have no way of checking,  then you would have to actually go and take action in court for $200, and common, nobody is going to do so, and to actually make this whole thing even crazier I some countries you're not even allowed to request it nor to store it and you would have to be a registered business to do such a thing, the fines for this would totally eclipse the $200.

Anyhow, it was basically a no-collateral loan, and the "newbie" defaulted, somebody took a gamble on a 6/4 bet on the trust you can put in strangers and lost.

What Ed could do is message Stunna (https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/stunna-81292) or some other stake rep here and explain him the situation . With the wallet address he can identify the owner of the stake account and just maybe get him some consequences.

Edwardard, somehow you ended up totally obsessed with trust newbie after these two posts.

I am simply needing the loan to level up an account to get a large cash bonus. Can repay in 48 hours.
Btw, which account are you talking about here? Who is providing these huge bonuses to you?

Stake.com

I’m a diamond level player so cash bonuses are a ton.
But then is the amount withdrawable after you get the bonus? Or you have to wager/play first with that?
What if you loose it and later not in a situation to repay the loan back?

But I really regret losing you, this will definitely be a valuable lesson for you. The main caveat is don't trust any newbies when it comes to loans, but things are different when they have collateral.

I support the flag and have also flagged the scammer. Hopefully you recover quickly and this case really teaches you meaningful lesson in the future. Stay wise mate, there are many scammers here.

Sorry for your loss It's a lesson for the future.
I do not think that the user will try to log in again because 26 posts do not mean much, perhaps if you know his personal information you may try with it, and even more negative trust will not change anything because his account is worthless.

often lazy scammers are like that so try to track that address( similar username/posting style)  and I'm sure he has other accounts in the forum and may be participating in one of the campaigns in the forum.

He gave me his stake account's usdt (bsc) deposit address as stated by himself in tg chat. I sent to that address without looking much into it. Is that not a stake's deposit address?
I do not think that is a stake account and also I think that is an account of Binance. The person just made you a joker and waste your time. As I told you (probably on pm or on post) that the person's account was blocked. So, there is no chance that the person will deposit also the person has an active topic on the scam accusation board. Also, another post on the gambling board about his/her account being locked.

You are mixing things up.
OP's stake account is not blocked, I explained that to you before. He was blocked from support (chat support), that's what they do when players insult or annoy the customer support. Why would they block/lock his account for the thing he described in the line error thread, makes no sense.

Also, I just checked my usdt address on stake and it looks the same as his, shows tokens , because I deposited some in the past, but I have 0 usdt in my stake account. So the money went to stake for sure.

What Ed could do is message Stunna (https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/stunna-81292) or some other stake rep here and explain him the situation . With the wallet address he can identify the owner of the stake account and just maybe get him some consequences.

Sorry for your loss @Edwardard. But you should remember that doing any transaction with newbie account is highly risky. I think you have no chance of getting this money back. We can now only leave negative feedback on that user's account, but it won't hurt that user, because he has nothing to lose. Huh.  Is this guy trying to stack sats by loan scamming or something?  That wouldn't be the most bizarre thing I've seen, but it'd still be strange.  Anyway, I supported the flag for whatever good it'll do.

Not sure if it's this thread that keeps catching my attention or what, but it seems like there have been more scam accusation threads being created for loan defaults than usual.  I've got the Lending section ignored, so I don't know what's going on there or how active it's been, but I definitely haven't seen loads of loan scam accusations in the past year or two.

Then again, when bitcoin starts to go up all the scammers start coming out of the woodwork.  Never fails.

@Yolo89 definitely don't care about flag or feedback on his account.

Why would he care that he destroyed the reputation of only one BTT account, when there are probably who knows how many more with which he will try to make a new scam? If things like this happen publicly, I wonder what is happening through private messages and through Telegram, where there are certainly a lot of victims who will not publicly admit that they were naive.

In the end, the OP should be happy that his loan didn't include another 0, because a few hundred $ most people will somehow manage to survive and forget.

Finally, you are final that you are not going to receive the repayment of the loan. Actually, we know earlier and are sorry for your loss. There is no way to get repayment of the loan. Please never give any loan to a newbie account, an old account that just woke up, woke but not earned merit after waking up. A long gap eg 6 months and not yet on any campaign and/or not earned merit after the gap, password changed, email changed, while there is an active loan, etc.

What happened::  Yolo89 took a 220$ loan from me on 23rd january which he promised to repay within 24hrs. But he simply delayed the process by giving some reasons. And today he just deleted all our telegram chats and blocked me. I gave him a loan even while he was a newbie just based on the VIP diamond 3 stake account screenshots shown by him to me on tg. However, this was my first and last time dealing with such a newbie. Please tag him!
