never mind, please stop posting if you are NOT considering lend at all. You are more likely wasting the time than me.

"hello there, you know, one guy called lottery248 from some internet forum sent me some 4 years old cheap laptop for my 1BTC as collateral, and now, he don't want to me send 1.2BTC back after half a year, please investigate and arrest him"

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

not everything is guaranteed, you need to risk sometimes to be successful. I know that collateral is used to prevent running-off, but loan requires collateral leads a loan into a pawnbroker.
if i needed the bitcoin just for kicks, i wouldn't need to be here.
again, smart contracts is the main point. you didn't even mention the "smart contract". smart contract helps you to prevent me from running-off  your money, you can even legally take it to the police if i defaulted - as long as you have the evidence.

whelp, i don't think that a PC that was bought for ~$640 in 2011 is now valued less than 200

I'm sure, that value is even lower then 200USD, next problem is, that you are offering physical asset as collateral (and PC is without warranty) and it is not comfortable at all. if you are looking just for ~200USD and half a year, maybe will be better to ask friends or parents to lend you..basically you are wasting time here.

whelp, i don't think that a PC that was bought for ~$640 in 2011 is now valued less than 200, unless that was already dead. my collateral is still 70% new if i factory formatted the computer.
unlike others, what i need to loan has a smart contract guarantee.

you should provide valid collateral to get the loan. you are offering physical asset with lower value than 2BTC and nobody will give you the loan.

please check https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.6311902 and provide valid one..

decreased amount of loan due to insufficient collateral.
Loan request: 1 btc
Reason: purchasing a new computer
Collateral: second-hand ASUS k42jr
Repayment date: February 2nd 2016
Repayment amount: 1.2 btc

Smart contract necessary, in order to prevent my default, and to ensure the loan is repaid completely.
One negative feedback is because i attempted to loan without collateral.

If you are not gonna lend, please do not post anything, i will lock the thread if none of the lenders. send a PM if you wish to lend. Please do not post negative feedback if you are not interested on this.
