We meet on Wednesdays at Amelie's French Bakery in Uptown Charlotte from 6 - 8 and haven't decided on which day to have the official meetups yet

Sounds pretty interesting. I wish there were such a group in my area of the states.

Hmm, just saw your response as to where you're located. I'm not far down the road in Charleston, SC. What day of the week do you typically meet? If it's a weekend or Friday, I might make the trip.

We are located in Charlotte NC and Charlotte Blockheads on meetup.com.  Our current meetups are all word of mouth through the blockchain charlotte slack group.  If you'd like to join PM your email and I'll have you added.

We had our first official meetup cohosted with a coding bootcamp last Thursday and have not planned the next official meetup yet.  We meet once a week for a round table at bakery in Uptown Charlotte if you'd like to come visit.  The round table typically has 12-20 people attend with varying interest in crypto.  We have a few full-time traders, developers, algorithmic traders, miners and the occasional newcomer.

hello
it sounds realy interessting.
Where are the meet ups your are planining, or where were the last ones?
The odds that I live close by are not so great I guess, but I give it a chance.
Is there some kind of newsletter or website where I can get some information.
Most people these day are mostly interessted in coin talk for quick money and investing, but there are still a bunch of people might be interessted in meeting an talking about technical topics.
It would be realy great if we could make up decenteralized meetings with the similar topics and find a way to share the results.
Try out some different styles of meeting, I am a big fan of open sace conferences.
If you already have planned further please write here in the forum or contact me PM.

Thanks

Hi,

I've been an organizer at a local word of mouth meetup for the last 7 months. Last week we had our first public meetup and are going to be having a public educational meetup once a month.   The above topics are a few presentation ideas we have had.  Please vote on some topics that you think the community would enjoy the most.

If you're hosting similar meetups and have any advice on what to teach leave a reply!  Grin
