There are already existing alternatives. Just saw the big wide ad on bitcointalk itself for Bitquick, with the caption " Number one alternative to localbitcoins" . Not really sure what kind of response are they receiving. But its always hard to get people go for another exchange, than something they are used to.

Maybe an advanced user verification system. So that there is the highest security as possible while trading coins.

Well, if you could find a bullet proof way of making a reliable trust rating system, you would get a lot of support.

The current method being used at LocalBitcoin can be manipulated by fake reporting and rating, so you end up with a situation where people will have serious trust issues with the rating system.

Your entry to market will also be difficult.

I am all for competition in this market, but a fee to join willl discourage people from using it.  Sad

We have started our operation and have successfully executed a few tread. Joining is free...

Key Features :-

1. Does not require bitcoin to stay deposited in the site. User deposits at the time of trading.

2. Bitcoin can be traded against both FIAT & Alt coins.

3. Trading cost 0.1% of the trade amount.

localbitcoins is a good site(user-friendly) but you pay your bitcoins premium price most of the time it's 5 to 10% above market price.

also you could implement a system for cash face to face transaction to be more efficient and quick, like a map that would geo localise traders available for F2F transactions and can broadcast themself on the map when they are available.( this would probably only be usefull in big cities) but could be a great addition.

now a lots of trader ask for ID verification and you have to upload ID everytime you deal with a different trader so you could ask a one time verification to avoid the hassle but you shouldn't restrict people that don't want to provide ID from trading, only vendors decide, they could have an option to accept or refuse non verified buyer,if they refuse those buyers will be blocked fom buying automatically from this trader.

you could also set up a system like blockchain.info where private keys can be backed up, lots of traders on localbitcoins have huge amount of coins sitting in their online wallet for daily trading and availability, i'm sure they would feel better if they had a backup of their wallet.

last but not least a way to talk/message to the vendor without the need to open a trade

In fact we have built an alternative to LocalBitcoins where we are allowing direct trade of FIAT as well as alt coin against bitcoin. At this moment, we are running in stealth mode. Please check it here => www.100bit.co.in

why do you charge 0.01 btc to join? also requires a referal ID? "stealth mode" what do you mean exactly?

This is invitation only so far and is being tested by a closed group. We have kept 0.01 BTC to join because, Tx cost on our platform is too low. It is flat 0.001 BTC for any trade. We are going to accept public joining through referral very soon, most probably in February only.

You should maintain complete transparency and try to be regulated.

We already have lower fee's (if anything), and a superior design, but what else would you want to see in a platform such as this?
Anything helps.
The only thing that would make your service better than LocalBitcoins is if you had more active traders using your site than theirs. (yes, this means you have a hard problem to solve)

So me and a friend have been working on an alternative to localbtc, but we're wondering what would BTCTalk want that would make you switch over from using their services?

Will be hard to switch from localbitcoin to a new page because users trust now in localbitcoin.

I think that is the #1 fact, you will need to get the trust of users.
