Depends if the bank requires your id before making the deposit. I have purchased bitcoins using cash deposit. Not everytime did I have to provide my id but sometimes I did.
So I checked out the site LocalBitcoins that you recommended would be a good place to find people selling bitcoins for cash. I’m interested in buying bitcoins for cash to maintain my anonymity. However I saw an option for people selling bit coins through “cash deposit”. Would buying bitcoins with a cash deposit be as anonymous as buying bitcoins in person with cash? Reason I ask is because everyone that is selling bitcoins face to face is located at least 200 miles from where I live.
