UPDATE: Bitcoins finally came through to my wallet. Seems like LocalBitcoins really needs to step up its service during high-volume selling periods, as many others were having this problem. Thanks to those who helped!

Thanks for your reply. No, nothing yet, but somebody else on their forums seems to be having exactly the same issue (deposit not registering after confirmations, and coins going to another address) so let's hope this gets sorted out.

It could be LocalBitcoins storing the BTC in an offline or secure wallet.

Still, I would expect the BTC to be accredited to your account after the 6 confirmations of the original transfer, regardless of what they then do internally with it.

Did you finally get it ?

The transaction where I deposited the bitcoins already has 8 confirmations. Thanks for your help, anyway.4

EDIT: Do you mean the transaction where my bitcoins were sent from my "LocalBitcoins" wallet to another wallet? That's on one confirmation so far - do you think I might be credited when it's fully confirmed?

Hi,

I'm fairly new to Bitcoin. This is the first crash I've encountered. Since I came into Bitcoin needing a certain amount of return, about £500, I was happy to sell during the crash - not out of panic, but because I basically need the fiat and I'm not really concerned about making any more profit.

When the highest LocalBitcoins price was about £560 about an hour ago, I deposited my one bitcoin into my LocalBitcoins wallet (I created a new address to do this, for extra safety). LocalBitcoins' site says:
Quote
LocalBitcoins.com considers transaction to be confirmed after three (3) confirmations from bitcoin network.

Well, three confirmations came, and no balance was deposited into my account, despite being able to view the Blockchain transaction confirming the confirmations (haha). I was worried, since the price of BTC was falling quite rapidly at this point, and I went to buy myself some dinner to take my mind off it.

I returned to find that not only did my LocalBitcoins wallet not have 1 BTC in it, but there was an unconfirmed transaction for my whole 1 BTC leaving the LocalBitcoins wallet and going to five separate addresses.

What really confuses me is that according to the list of wallet transactions, the 1 BTC was never even deposited into my account, so I feel like even if someone had hacked my LocalBitcoins account, they wouldn't have been able to steal them.

Is it possible that LocalBitcoins' "generate address" feature had me deposit into somebody else's wallet? Am I panicking over nothing? I'd appreciate a response ASAP.
