It's true that I didn't go with his terms. Will I still be able to dispute?

Would obviously hate to be scammed. What options do I have?

If the guy clearly indicated that he wanted you to instant transfer instead of standard transfer, whatever that is, then you should have done that. To transfer it with a standard transfer could mean that he loses liquidity for the time the money is held in escrow and not be able to trade with the money that he would ahve otherwise been able to make further trade with.

Ask him to either refund or wait till the funds hits his account. If he doesn't want to then you have to start disputing.

Does that make any difference ?  I don't think so...

I think you transfer has not been confirmed yet on localbitcoins right?
If this is the question you are seeking answer for, then be sure localbitcoins is one of the trusted peer-peer exchanger with millions of exchangers processing transfers regularly without facing negative issues.

Yes but if his transfer doesn't arrive to another party that's where the problem starts.Actually,OP is a lazy tard who wouldn't explain what happened and assumes everyone understands everything with a one liner.I wouldn't be surprised anyway. Sigh

You clearly had the terms laid out to you when you opened the trade and you should have followed these terms and conditions. Unfortunately it'll really depend on how big a fuss the seller makes, if he's fine with it then he should have no problems with releasing the funds to you when the transaction clears.

If he refuses to do that, then your option is to dispute the transaction.

Try to reason with the support to reach a fair deal.

Just wait for transaction to confirm you don't need to worry also provide your transaction URL so people can help you accelerate it, I have received my funds even after 15hrs+ on Localbitcoins wallet due to to low fees you don't need to panic already.
Edit - if its about buying BTC hoping for seller to cooperate with you or contacting the support is your best shot hope it gets resolved.
