It's funny how he keeps using the same phone number, he is an idiot.
Wait a minute, his new nickname on local bitcoins was "justicedog"?
ROFL this guy is really braindead. He went from using his REAL names reversed to using his pet's name.
What's gonna be next? His mom's name?

This guy really wants to get caught.

What's his mom/dad's number?
Someone should call them and tell everything.

This^^

Im sure his parents would like to know that their beloved son is stealing thousands of dollars

well, he is living with his mom:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--279648

but I don't recommend harassing people, leave the punishment to the authorities... that's the only thing that this government is good at.

I had a thought.  Victims will most likely contact localbitcoins to see what can be done or to report the theft.  If you turn over all the DOX to localbitcoins then they can give the DOX to any victims that contact them.

Good idea, it's done.

I gave him an ultimatum
If he doesn't return the stolen bitcoins, I'll report him to the IC3/FBI and publish his information for everyone.
The thing is that this kid is still a kid, 19 years old. A very immature 19 years old kid, who might ruin the rest of his life by being canned.
I want to give him a chance of making things right by returning the stolen bitcoins, I gave him 24 hours.

Anyone who goes victimized by sucraM/Kagomeluvsu2 please send me a PM.
That is very good, and fast, work!

This kid tried to scam me out of $5K.  I played along for a while then told him to f off.  So, since he did not get anything from me I guess I have no reason to file.

Funny story:  when I went to cancel his bogus transaction on localbitcoins I accidently hit the "release funds" button by mistake.  It almost gave me a heart attack.  Lucky for me the site requires confirmation for the release of funds action.

Has he returned any of the BTC yet?  Have any actual victims stepped forward?

I'm 19 and I just want to say, thank you for doing this. It's these kind of things done by immature young people that truly hurt bitcoins. Many have claimed I would scam eventually based on my immaturity or whatever reason but I have not because it's simply wrong. To a 19 year old, $1000 is a lot of money, and I've escrowed for almost double that, however never once has a thought to run with the funds crossed my mind. Thank you again and honestly I hope this kid goes to jail instead.

I am investigating this kid, also known as "Marcus" in some forums. (His nickname is his name backwards)
He also attempted to pull a very dumb scam to me via LocalBitcoins under the name Kagomeluvsu2.

I located his physical address, IP address, gmail account and forum nicknames.
On Gmail his registered name is Andrew Gower, but it might be fake.
He uses cricket (9135632944) and sprint (9132001331) phones, and a VoIP service (2818913127) as well, but they are all located in Kansas City so that location is pretty much confirmed.
The cricket and sprint numbers appears under two different names and two different addresses, so it may not be reliable but I am running his license plate with the DMV in Kansas City so I will know soon enough.

As a warning to any users of localbitcoins.com, as scammer attempted to steal 55 BTC from me today.

They claimed to be buying bitcoins, and wanted to use the "transaction service".  Once the transaction was funded they tried to convince me to "send a picture of our contact/trade page for verification purposes".

When I ignored that request, they followed up with a phone call and played dumb about the "release code".  They just wanted me to send a picture of the page so they could verify.  They didn't think having a picture of a green release button would be a problem.

I explained why I couldn't.  Then I sent them a carefully framed image that had the release code cropped out.

They claimed they were on there way and would be at the meeting place soon.

After a half hour of waiting I sent a txt asking if they were still planning on showing up, and they txt back "yes".

After another half hour of waiting, they still hadn't arrived and they stopped responding to txt messages.

I'm guessing that their account at localbitcoins is a throw away fake account, and that the phone they were calling and txting from was a "burner", but for what it's worth here's the info so others can avoid being caught in this scam attempt:

SCAMMER
localbitcoins ID: sucraM
phone: 913-200-1331

If anyone can identify this person, I'd love to contact the FBI and file charges for attmpted fraud against them.

FYI that phone is registered to "EDWARD SNOWDEN"

Did anyone report this guy? I tried but too many forms to fill out. I hope the victims at least did.

Since I managed to avoid being a victim, I didn't file any report.  There's just too much opportunity for a defense to claim "It was just a misunderstanding."  If any actual victims file a report with the FBI, I hope they'll say so here on bitcointalk.org.  I'm very interested in calling the FBI and offering the details of my interaction as corroboration and evidence of a pattern of behavior to any investigation into actual fraud.

Try this phone number 913-563-2944  I did a little digging and I think he is a car enthusiast that also uses Craigslist to scam people.  And he goes by MARCUS.   Not 100% on this but based on the forums he has been selling car parts under this name.

I tracked him down to this ad:   http://173.247.245.176/~kcsror5/showthread.php?p=1921090

Direct picture of licenses plate: https://i.imgur.com/ts5Re.jpg

You can clearly get his license plate number and ask the cops to investigate it.    I'm not a cop and do not know if this is the man that scammed you so be sure to seek legal counsel or consult an officer before doing anything.
