Localbitcoins Staff has yet to finalize the dispute
Why are you updating us when you can't even upload the video ? To me it seems like you're threatening Lbc like an extortion attempt.

I've video recorded the trade in full much like cash in mail sellers do
We don't believe you neither take your seriously.

The video shows that he clearly used my payment and doesn't want to pay

Localbitcoins threatens to ban me. They said if I do win the dispute I will have to ID verify to get my coin out. I already verified my ID in the god damn system.
Whatever.It's hard for us to jump to conclusions from one side of the story,which is not even factual at the moment.

LBC doesn't handle disputes well and many users who have been scammed and have complained in their forum, they have doesn't nothing about it and such cases keep increasing. Sorry for your loss but I can't get why LBC is threatening to ban your account. Does your video contain any private information that shouldn't be leaked? They mostly ban the scammer's account.

I've since filed a complaint on the Finland Consumer Complaints Board website

They are turning into those sportsbooks people complain about here that shut players accounts down and withhold people's money from them.

Localbitcoins needs to be held accountable

As I said before Someone opened a trade with me and I video recorded the whole thing from the beginning to the time I filed the dispute.
But did you loose any money or coins ?

I provided this video recording of the trade to the support staff and I have since been put on forxed hokiday and threatened to be banned.
Forced holiday ? What does that mean ? Or is it like you're not allowed to trade anymore ?

I would like someone from Localbitcoins staff to reply in this thread. They can give their side of the story.
They have their own forum,why not post the same there instead ?  I doubt they'll reply.

In regards to the feedback system anyone can open your trade and NEG you regardless of anything else. That means new traders like myself are almost guaranteed not to have a good rating just due to idiotts who neg you.

I didn't understand your problem, it is not clearly described. What happened?

You posted a trade. Someone accepted your offer. But then he cancelled his order. And gave you negative rep? Or your reputation went down automatically because the other side cancelled the trade? Is this what happened?

How about posting that youtube link here so we can speculate?

Someone opened a trade from my advertisement. I video recorded the trade in full from the beginning  to the time I made the dispute. I uploaded this long video on YouTube and provided a link to Peter.Localbitcoins staff member.

I have since been put on forced holiday and my account is not able to trade. My feedback rating has gone down because of someone who cancelled a trade with me (didn't even trade with them). I've done 4 other trades, all successfully, and have positive ratings from those users.

Is this normally how this website (Localbitcoins.com) works?  Even if I video record the trade from beginning to end I am still not safe?

I will continue to update this as the dispute is being dealt with. It seems that the feedback rating system is problematic to say the least (you can neg anyone for nothing) and the support staff (including Peter) are misinformed and misguided.

If there is anyone from localbitcoins staff here feel free to chime in on these issues presented in this thread.

I hope that I don't lose my money (I recorded the whole damn thing) and I hope they ban the scumbags who scam on their website.
