I wouldn't buy in mtgox knowing they have widthrawal problems. I then prefeer paying more in localbtcusd.

Then buy from a better exchange. Gox is a dinosaur anyways... Gox has been having problems like this for so long it's strange to me that people are surprised by this.

I just bought from Coinbase about an hour ago. The BTC was available for withdrawal instantly and I transferred it to my personal wallet with no delay. It's as close to instant as possible.

Edit:
How many are you trying to buy?

I think it's irrational to pay more for an identical product when there is no benefit of added convenience...

It's faster to buy from an exchange than from localbtcusd.

If anything local BTC prices should be slightly lower than exchange rates since the seller experiences no exchange/bank fees and no payment delay. That added convenience is a factor for the seller to merit value to.
