Completed the 48 hours fast.
We made it through. The first thing that filled our otherwise digital time was food. We as a family had greater social interactions and all of it was like a camping inside home.

It was more of a digital feeding to me than digital fast. The thing is I had lived here half of my life mastering the internet is what I did. Learning everything so more like a digital upgrade preaching to those outsiders who enter my domain.

In normal times just getting off social media for a while if you have it would do wonders for your mental health. The best thing to do right now is learning new skills, read more, just stuff you never had the time to do before that can actually improve your life going forward.

It's obvious that my device is always with me that i can't deal with, stay away from the device doesn't mean you have to turn off everything just like but as a man and living being you are in control of yourself. you have the power to off and on anything you wanna do.

Internet has no lock down period. Internet has spread out to the whole world than coronavirus. It is injustice to stop your daily activities when you can connect with one another in this digital world.
I am always online and stay updated whether in laptop or mobile. But since market is closed we can't do nothing. As a digital marketer we are suffering due to this pandemic. I don't know what price crypto will be when the market begins.

I have some problems when my phone rings or when I receive one of the hundred notifications of the day, but unfortunately I can`t turn off my phone for example because I have old granparents and parents and I have to answer a call if they need, this is my only worry
It's very good to turn off the devices, the smartphones are becoming a huge problem in our lives and we are totally controlled by social medias, news, apps etc

All these should be tested in normal days. These days when we are all being stuck at home in some way or the other and going out is dangerous and not allowed in some places, the mobiles and TV are our only friends and thinking  life without them would be a nightmare. I agree, which should minimize the use of these things, but not at the present time.

Since many people lost his job in real life from this pandemic, they're trying to get money by scamming in digital.
It's hard to earn money in digital especially if he don't have great skills.

At present, this would be most unreasonable. You are already sitting locked at home, and you will also refuse the only "window" to the outside world that a telephone or a computer represents. Without them, it’s not even corny to order food at home after all.

I don't think it would be good to shut them down In the current era even though we can't get out due to lockdown we get information on everything through this social media We easily get all the news about what's happening in the world. Turning off these devices will make people more annoyed Because of the digital age it also takes some time for people.

All great ideas copy and pasted, but a lock down is the worst time for pushing this.  Get away from your technology and do what - stare at the walls?   Not a good idea to encourage people to go outside.

What is digital fast?

Giving up all digital devices for a short period of time, such as a day or up to a week.

Why digital fast?

There are many reasons why you might want to give up your mobile phone and other devices for a brief time. You might want to enjoy time to yourself without the interference that your phone and other devices create. In other cases, you might feel like your device use has become excessive and is adding too much stress to your life.

In some situations, you might even feel like you are addicted to your devices. While technology addiction is not formally recognized as a disorder in the DSM-5, many experts believe that tech and device overuse represents a very real behavioral addiction that can lead to physical, psychological, and social problems.

Signs You Might Need a Digital Detox

  • You feel anxious or stressed out if you can't find your phone
  • You feel compelled to check your phone every few minutes
  • You feel depressed, anxious, or angry after spending time on social media
  • You are preoccupied with the like, comment, or reshare counts on your social posts
  • You’re afraid that you'll miss something if you don't keep checking your device
  • You often find yourself staying up late or getting up early to play on your phone
  • You have trouble concentrating on one thing without having to check your phone

I'm going on a 48 hours digital fast starting from the time of this post. I'll not be using any electric or electronic devices including electric lights, digital heating/cooling, digital cooking device, switching off both electricity mains and phone/router connection.
I know It may seem extreme, but I need to make sure I'm in control of myself.
