That Picture is not of a 6990. Power connectors too close together, only one six and one 8, dual crossfire connections, and no O/D Switch.

I like the way the forum is coming together against scammers  Smiley

That still isn't enough to prove he isn't gonna take 50% of your bitcoins and run. The last thread selling 6990's ripped several people off. Not saying you're a scammer but the fact you refuse to use clearcoin and are a new poster are huge red flags.

Edit: I offered 140 btc (20 over original price) if he'd do it through clearcoin. He declined. Buyer Beware.

Be warned everyone. Stay safe!

Doesnt matter if he says 10% upfront, he sends card, then you pay remainder 90%

He still pockets 10% and you get no card.

This is scummy.

How about at least posting a picture of piece of paper with your username on it and the video card so we know you at least own said card.

i suppose i could deliver via parcel, id cover the cost ofcourse, how ever, i do not really see the need for Clearcoin, as this is probably the only item im ever going to sell here.

a 50% before and 50% after deal sounds good to me, if 50% of the payment is made today, tomorrow i can ship the card from the UK.

OP does not seem to want to use clearcoin so that is somewhat of a red flag for me, considering how expensive the gpu is.

in which case dingus, i would be willing to lower the price which is payed now, because i realise there is a certain risk you are taking.

There is no reason not to use clearcoin. Unless you are a scammer. Then I guess that would dissuade you.

Did he tell you 50% first 50% after too? Red flag for me too. No rep. No clear coin. No deal imo.

Ya there is actually a recent thread where someone ripped people off selling 6990's. Regardless PM sent I'm interested in purchasing this if you're willing to use clearcoin for safety.

caveat emptor
no idea what that is supposed to mean..
If only there was some sort of electronic "network" of information portals we could utilise to answer questions like this! ;-)

You've only made a few posts here, all in this thread. That's fair enough - we were all newbies once - but it doesn't give anyone any reason to trust you, and we've seen a few scammers here. This isn't necessarily a problem for you trying to sell your card - all you need to do is allow the purchaser to use an escrow system like ClearCoin - they place their bitcoins in excrow, and wait until they receive the card from you before releasing the coins. That gives them confidence that you're not a scammer, and it gives you confidence - because you can see that they've put the bitcoins in escrow, and if they renege on the deal they'll lose the coins.

Warning:  several users have recently been scammed by similar offers to this one.  Thread is currently locked as suspicious.

Hey guys, I'm currently running a Sapphire HD6990 (had the card for a while now) in my main mining rig; anyway, because of diminishing profits I'm looking to sell it and get a quieter, cooler, less power hungry card just for gaming. I'm looking for offers in the 120BTC region - the card still has a valid warranty and I've only had it for a few months.

I've only been mining with the card for a few weeks on the deepbit pool, and I'll send across the warranty documents as well, so if it does fail on you Sapphire should replace it (it seems the warranty is transferable between owners according to the T&C).

PM me with offers.
