You need someone to develop your Web project ?
Hello,

There was an error on the detection, but for the moment I have none of where it can come from.

I'm going to do some research tomorrow to see where the problem may come from.

Sorry for this problem Undecided

Interesting I checked the last 5 messages are they are still there untouched.
What could have trigged this warning?

Edit, I checked also the first 7-8, same situantion. Seems like all the messages that are noted as REMOVED are actually there without change.

My Baronets post seems to come up as Jet Cash. This isn't a problem, as Baronets is one of my alts, but it may cause some confusion. What should I do to reduce this?

Hum, sorry but I'm not sure I understand your message in the current context Undecided

I've always thought it was odd that the "Stake your Bitcoin address here" thread is in the Meta board, it seems much more related to one's reputation than anything to do with the forum's functionality.  The PGP thread is in the reputation board, and the two topics seem similar in scope.

I don't think the Archive board is an appropriate home for this thread, but I agree that Meta isn't either.

For now, I'm not moving mine topic into the archives for the reasons I mentioned in my last post. After I do not know which category best fits this two topics.

If you move it to archival where will be posted the alerts then? I meant If someone change or remove an old staked address this is a serious action and a notification should be visible to everyone so people can take actions to prevent abuse.
Those cases are so rare that it won't be any problem the thread to remain in Mera.

Hmm, the subject would still be searchable in the archives if I'm not mistaken ?

Now you remind me something is that with the level of the account that post alerts, I can not answer in the "Archival" category.

So I think it will not be possible to move the subject in fact ( Unless the account can post in this category ).

Edit :

Can we make a subscription like in every alert post to add for example @iasenko on the bottom of it if I want to be on duty to check those posts? Many people can "subscribe" to check them Smiley

You mean to add the mention of a nickname in the messages of alerts sent by the bot ?

Also note that this bot is public, and anyone can use it on his personal machine Wink

As said @DroomieChikito and @LoyceV I think suddenly that I will spend this topic in the "Archival" category, and add a mention of this topic in the messages of checks posted by the bot.

I see to change that in the next week.

Anyway, thank you for your feedback very constructive Wink

I created this subject following the request of a member at the start
~ snip ~
The lag period between initial publishing time and scraping time (ie. 30 minutes is good) but as I said, quotes of sign message always play its role in that topic. Owners or hackers can delete initial posts but if there are quotes (that we always have, IMO) their actions (delete or edit initial posts) are non-sense.

It is very rarely to see hackers have control on both initial posts and quotes to edit or delete them all. They mostly can not hack some accounts (owners and quoters) or have good relationships with quoters to ask them to edit or delete at the same time.

If you created this bot as request from someone, maybe that user and the others will feel it helpful. I still appreciated your works, lulucrypto.

better to remove this thread on Archival board
Um, I'm not sure it's a good thing, by doing that, the subject may be forgotten by everyone, which is not the goal.
I'd say move it to Archival, and mention it in every post made by the bot in the stake-your-addy thread.

Um, I'm not sure it's a good thing, by doing that, the subject may be forgotten by everyone, which is not the goal.

I don't think that the bot on deleted sign messages is useful. Basically, the root purpose of signing a message and stake it in the forum is to be used as proof of ownership for later period, with support from community by quoting the stake message.

The sign message has never shown its wanted usecase if no one quote message in that topic, but fortunately the forum always have users do that step. If the real owner or hacker deleted the stake message, it does not help them because the quote(s) still be here.

The situation is the same for edited stake message. Sometimes, people (who are unfamiliar with signing a message and stake it, then stake it here with wrong format) can come back and edit after listening to recommendation from the community. I don't see any serious things with editing stake message here, of course with support of quote(s).

Anyway, you made your decent efforts to build it and I appreciated it. You are a good guys, with the testing forum using Epochtalk, too. Maybe someone feel it useful.

At the base, the objective of this subject is to add a security in addition to the original subject.

Imagine that a hacker recovers access of a large account ( X or Y ), delete the signature of the account in question, and posts a new signature. In this case I think this topic is useful to be kept informed of changemants ( I created this subject following the request of a member at the start ).

Afterwards you have to know that the script that posts here has a margin ( Configurable ) before detecting the update of a message ( For example it is necessary that the message was published minimum 30 minutes after the post is registered to detect it ( It's an example ) ). This leaves the margin to the one who posted the message to edit before alert.

So the message that was deleted was a message posted by the hacker ?
I don't know Sad It could even be a second hacker now.

Oh, ok Undecided

Hmmm does this pick up past edits too then?

The bot does not detect the edits made before launch.

It detects only editions since its launch.

Are you able to make the bot find a username and assign the used addresses to it in that thread once signature is verified (that'd be cool)!?

Hmm, it's an idea I did not think about, but yes it's possible !

I'm going to think about integrating this ! Smiley

Found the link to your thread how far back does the bot go through? Is it like the last 5-20 pages?

The bot has been recording the subject since its beginning ( Over 10,000 messages ) Wink

This message from NoahWL1 has been removed.
This is going to be a useful bot! NoahWL1 "recently woke up from a long period of inactivity" and "changed his/her password recently". Untrusted feedback (without Reference) from 2017 claims the account is hacked.
The deleted post is still quoted.

Thank you very much Tongue

So the message that was deleted was a message posted by the hacker ?

Or is it the opposite  ( The hacker who deleted the @NoahWL1 message ? ) ?
