Isn't that proof there is no God. Under the name of the God of religion pursue their own interests, and their leaders do not live the values that you preach. That is why I am an atheist. I am sure that even those who say they believe in God actually don't believe in his existence is only a fad.
Being an atheist myself (I self-identify as a Hindu, but Hinduism permits atheistic beliefs), I don't need any evidence to prove the non-existence of god. And incidents such as this one, in which the religious clergy preys on the most vulnerable to satisfy their own lust, once again assures me that my ideology is the right one.

It could have been worse had the church been Catholic - that has been known for spiriting away offending priests to other dioceses while they're reviewing the case. In some cases, they even send them away to other countries. You could have a new possible pedophile priest in your diocese and you wouldn't even know.

And whatever the cause of sexual abuse in the church, priests should be arrested and punished just like any other pedophile. Sadly, rather than removing them from the priesthood, they just , in most instances attempted to cover up the sexual abuse by transferring the offending priests to different parishes.
Many people involved in the church and have various offices eg priests, bishops, etc., not because they want to be close to God but because it's an easy way solving their financial problems. Several of them choose their victims from the weakest people and simultaneously believe that justice will not accuse of anything they will do because the church will protect them. The increased incidents of pedophilia did the Pope of Rome Francis to say, 'I ask humbly apologize for pedophiles priests'.

I'm from the Philippines and when I saw a documentary about this practice at a local network years ago, I was really angry. They're not even tried as normal criminals but instead the church is given some leeway on handling them. Even when the victim does proceed with the complaint, they usually just move the offender to some retreat house while the case is being heard. Until they're convicted they can be moved to other provinces and continue work like nothing happened and with the parishioners clueless.
And that's how you get a string of sexual abuses. Abuse here, move somewhere and abuse more. By the time the first case resolved, there are already other cases being hidden.
I don't remember the exact details but in that docu they tried to track down a priest from the US that was "reassigned" here after complaints there. As usual the journalists were not able to get to him hiding behind the bishop's high walls.

I will never again be surprised at anything about the church. There have already been so many scandals involving church attendants and they have never been able to justify these actions. Therefore, lately I have not seen God in the church.

These kind of acts are always happening in Africa, So called Men of God using their title as Pastors to sexually assault women all in the name of deliverance. They should have received stricter judgements.
That is why I am an atheist. I do not care what religion. I'm sure that all of the religions of sinners. They only other people talk about the values of life. Themselves are only interested in donations from people.

Even Bishops are human beings capable of doing mistakes against oneself and other people. When temptation strikes hard then even the most religious man in the world will surely have a hard time coping with it. This even just shows that the bishop was lacking in prayers and the people around him does not pray for him thus letting him weak and fall short when the temptation kicks in.
Even they close to God they still a human that make mistake and sin.
