Yeah man, even using your iPhone5 as collateral, it's going to be really hard to stretch that into a $1500 loan, especially for a new user. Stick around a while, contribute to the forum, build up some rep, and you'll probably get a lot closer to securing that loan later on down the road.

You can buy a NEW iphone from ebay/apple store for $700. The iphone in question is USED (at the very least not original) and possibly blacklisted. Therefore, the market value is $600 at best. iphone 5 is worth 700 i think
If you buy it new, yes, but it would be collateral at sale value.

Using that phone for collateral (you ship it to the lender for safe keeping) you could probably only get a loan for $500.
