Hello fellow coiners, I recently complete a project for one of my courses and a couple of Prof. said it was a great business and I should pursue it. The problem I have encounter is I can not get a loan due to my student loans. My debt to income ratio is to high for a bank to touch me. I work 2 jobs and would like to become self employed starting in Dec. when I get my Masters. "Yay expensive piece of paper.
In most instances, language proficiency usually reflects a person's level of education. Not always, but most of the time. In your case, based chiefly on the way you write and convey your ideas, I've a hard time believing that you're a month away from obtaining a Masters. I could be wrong, but the run-on sentences and grammatical errors, especially from a native speaker, tells a different story.

I have spent over 6 months building this "Acme" business for class, but it turned into something that could be a realistic business unlike the rest of the class that did clothing company's, food places or some other beat to death business.
What on earth did you spend the six months on?

1.5 Sales Forecasts
Mr. Doe expects a strong rate of growth at the start of operations. There is no current competition in the area.

1.0 Executive Summary
2.3 Investor Equity
Mr. Steadman is seeking an investment from a third party's at this time. The amount of equity to be sold will be 60% and 40% to be retained by Mr. Steadman

2.4 Management Equity
Mr. Steadman  owns 100% of the  Pete's Pirate Express at this time.
OK, you are seeking investments; based on the above; will you bring in 40% of the needed 45k$ or are you saying that 45k$ buys an investor 60% of your company? In the latter case; what are you bringing into the company besides time and based on what assumption do you value your company at 75k$?

6.1 Corporate Organization
Starting off it will be me, using a tablet and phone taking and delivering order after 11am. Before 8am to 11am will developing businesses and advertising time. I will be taking no pay until the company is profitable.
Define profitable? Based on your breakdown of funds; you should be able to go on pretty indefinately on that amount of money provided your van does not breakdown Wink What is your expected gross revenue per month vs your expenses every month? Also since you will not be taking any pay untill you are profitable; are you still living with your parents? Or do you have a big savings account to support yourself while starting this venture?

Lastly; whats the commitment towards investors? Is it a loan? Is it ownership of (part of the) company? What will you be paying out and when? It helps to clearly define your strategy towards investors together with some hard goals and commitments..

Just curious am I wasting my time here?
No I think you came to the right place but most people here have learned (the hard way) to be critical of propositions here. Having a new profile with no trust doesn't help either Smiley If you really want to do this, and really want to raise capital through this forum you have to show a lot of commitment Smiley

HTH,
Cheers

Great questions and I feel like I dropped the ball by not being clear on them. We are expecting not to gross much for our first 3 months or so, and the extra money is to cover costs. Profitable will be when the bottom line turns black, if we have left over funds from the investments we will give them back in them back to investors after 6 months of being in the black.

I have student loans I paid 12 months in advance for all my bills, I am getting my degree early! So i have a 6 month window to make something happen, AKA get a job or start a business. The commitment toward investors would be % of ownership and profit sharing. I am willing to discuss with serious investors via phone or skype.

Just curious am I wasting my time here?

Pretty much.  Here's what you do:

1. Borrow some money from mom.
2. Buy old van.
3. Buy can of spraypaint.
4. Paint your clever logo on the side (magnetic signage is likely illegal, check your local bylaws).

Best of luck, enjoyed reading your pitch, thanks for the lel.

So this is a pizza delivery company that accepts bitcoin or fiat,or am I missing something.

No its a delivery company that is filling a void, we will NOT be delivering pizza.

We go to local business and get them set up in our program, business targeted are current restaurants that do not deliver.  We of course ask for some sort of discount for providing this free service with a promise of increased business. Our target would be 5% discount on all purchases, we would start at 10% and depending on the popularity of the business it self go off that.
Example https://www.doordash.com/restaurant/

We also would provide services such as, grocery pick up and delivery provided by the http://shop.mywebgrocer.com/shop.aspx?strid=9EC5297

The customer would come to our website and have a choice to go to food delivery or Grocery and Dry goods.
If the customer chooses food, they will be met with a list business listed they we have signed up. The customer could also call and we would pick up from any unlisted business.
If the customer chooses Grocery and Dry goods they will be taken to the lowes food order online page where they will be able to shop for what they want the list will be directly sent to lowes food and read for pick up when we get there. Of course grocery  orders will need to be made 12-24 hours in advance.

Please feel free to ask any more questions.

How would you handle the BTC exchange rate fluctuation if you're planning to list it as a bitcoin denominated asset?

All profits would be converted to BTC and then paid out. My goal is to start this service while also introducing BTC to local stores and customers. Then incentives for customers to use bitcoin would be the discount, and we are currently working on a pitch for the business end clients.

1.0 Executive Summary
The purpose of this business plan is to raise $45,000 for the development of a concierge service while showcasing the expected financial and operations. Pete's Pirate Express is a North Carolina  based business that will provide outsourced shopping services, and other personal support services to wealthy customers in its targeted market. The Company was founded in 2014 by Joshua Steadman.
1.1 Products and Services
Concierge Service, Inc. intends to provide its  clients with a plethora of services including personalized shopping, transportation arrangements, relocation services, gift ordering/delivery, chartered transportation, floral services, buying of entertainment tickets, arranging events, and other services that are frequently demanded by this demographic. The Company will generate revenue from surcharges.  The business will add a 5% to 10% surcharge on all arrangements made by the Concierge Service to clients. For example, if a client wants to obtain tickets to a show (and the cost of the tickets are $200), the business will charge the client $10 to $20 for obtaining the tickets. This is a sliding scale, and certain services/products will be excluded from the surcharge pricing schedule. The third section of the business plan will further describe the services offered by the Concierge Service.

1.2 The Financing
Mr. Steadman is seeking to raise $45,000 from crowd funding.

2.5 Exit Strategy
If the business is very successful, Mr. Steadman  may seek to sell the business to a third party for a significant earnings multiple. Most likely, the Company will hire a qualified business broker to sell the business on behalf of Pete's Pirate Express. Based on historical numbers, the business could fetch a sales premium of up to 4 times earnings.

3.0 Products and Services
As stated in the executive summary, the Company will provide a breadth of personal lifestyle management services.. The Company will then generate surcharge fees for each time that the client uses the Company services.
