The various discussions I have had with a few users is leading me to believe my collateral is probably not adequate enough for a loan.

If this is the case, I rescind my request for a loan.

I have a Pyramining account with 0.9 to be paid out I intend to use as collateral, however users have raised the following points which cannot be ignored:

1) Difficult to cash out quickly
2) Can easily be regained control of by me if I am to default (this point is negotiable, but I can see how this may be the case)
3) Only I can request the payout address be changed (this is exactly what I intended to do for whomever offers a loan - have the payout address changed to one corresponding to the loaner's wallet)

If anyone is familiar with Pyramining and will offer me a loan - by all means, please do so

If not, I intend to rescind my request for this loan and seek ways to fund my activities myself..  Somehow XD - maybe find a job?  XD

Sorry but scammers have really put loans through the proverbial wringer these days. Good luck in the future!

I have absolutely nothing negative to say in regards to people being protective of their money.

I am going to have a good time browsing loans and spotting scammers and indulging in the crap they spew from their gullets in attempt to scam people of their hard-earned.

I predict I will become known as another "watchdog" hahaha - I have a lot of fun spotting liars and really enjoy slapping them in the face via text from my keyboard

No problem but many don't seem to want to think of anything other than what's provided for them in their own little box. Yes, if you really need the funds, cash some in. People (most) are only dumb if they choose to be.  Cool

I dont understand the whole altcoin collateral . If people had the altcoin wouldnt they just cash it out and use that for what they need?

My thoughts exactly.  I feel it is entirely unrealistic to ask for altcoin collateral when the amount of altcoins frequently requested for use as collateral is more often than not equivelent to the amount of BTC requested in the loan - and if one had access to such amounts of altcoins, one could very well just cash out on the altcoins and/or convert them to BTC.

Since no one seems to ever read the Loan section, I will post it once again. Some like to keep their alt coins in case of a massive rise in value. Let me give you an example:
You send 10 LTC (or ANY coin) to escrow for a BTC loan of equal value. You fulfill the loan and then the price of LTC (or ANY coin) doubles. You receive back your collateral and PROFIT! Win Win!
Any more questions?

I deduced this myself to be honest XD.  I just figured that if one needed money enough to ask for a loan - if they had a bunch of altcoins on hand, they would use such to fund their needs.  I just thought that if one needed money badly enough, they would be more concerned with cashing out than waiting for an increase in price, does this make sense?

I am not ignorant and did not mean to come off that way - I have an IQ of 140 and am no dum-dum XD

If you cant provide altcoin as collateral, provide item you have such as phone, laptop or anything that can be sold easily and that item must be send to the person you want to make a loan

You can do bitcoin arbitrage, but please you need to forget about mtgox completely.

Why is that?

I cannot provide altcoin collateral unfortunately =/

If I had a significant amount of altcoins, I'd just cash them out instead of asking for a loan XD

I DO have something to offer as collateral though - I am willing to discuss it via PM

I am looking for a 0.5 BTC loan to exploit the differing prices of different BTC exchanges.

This is called Bitcoin arbitrage trading: the simultaneous buying and selling of securities, currency, or commodities (Bitcoin in this case) in different markets or in derivative forms in order to take advantage of differing prices for the same asset.

It's a no-risk way to trade Bitcoins and generate profit.

I offer a return of 0.75 BTC over the course of 3 months with installments of 0.25 BTC paid per month.

I have collateral to offer.

PM me for details if you are interested in providing this loan and we will discuss the collateral I can offer.
