I advise that even if it is the same person who owns the account to only take the account as collateral if you are confortable with buying the account for the amount of the loan: 0.75 BTC.
If he has an altcoin as collateral it would be the best case, I van lend him 0.6 but only if he puts altcoin as collateral with the value on 0.72 BTC at least at the moment of transaction. And still the risk of devaluation of the altcoin but it's not in the control of the borrower at least.

I PM'ed the OP asking for a signed message from an address that he paid me from and was told that he will "start searching now". I would also say that the way the OP was talking via PM is not the way that the "real" OP used to talk when we would PM each other.

I can most likely research some old addresses that the OP should control if his account was not sold that he paid me from late last year, in case a potential lender needs help verifying if the OPs account was sold or not. However even with a signed message there is the possibility that private keys were sold along with the account.

Thanks, sounds good

I may entertain this loan amount.  What are you offering as far as interest and can you sign a message with the address you first posted on your account?

If you're taking his account as collateral make sure to lend only if you have no problem buying his account for the loaned amount. The double password change noted by steven almost certainly means OP just bought his account using an escrow. And asking for a loan with the account as collateral just after buying that account is not a good sign.

Beware that taking bitcointalk account as collateral is very risky even with a signed message. Especially when it have some positive trust

Had been out of the loop in these forums and reset a password after I came back on after a certain period of time.

I guess you're right; does add some form of sketchiness.

I have a pending withdrawal from my vault to my e-wallet but that takes 48 hours to process. Urgently need BTC by tomorrow.

I can repay this loan back on Tuesday evening which is 05/31/16. I will pay back .8 Btc.

Please let me know if you can assist, I can use this account as collateral. I'll also check my Altcoin but I don't know if I have enough that will be considered collateral.
