Right, but the question is did he actually do anything with the coins, or just ping pong it back to the sender?  If the former, it might be legit.  If the latter, it pretty much seals the deal that the two accounts are most likely the same guy trying to build bogus rep.

If you guys want some more information about who I am, I am Vorksholk and I run a minecraft server (server.omicroncrew.com) participate in a YouTube channel (omicroncrew) and more with this same username. No one named never2sleep has any correlation to any of those. Food for thought, I suppose.

Look up never2sleep, it is very different. We had registration dates similar, and similar numbers of posts, and I lent bitcoins to him and was payed back a lot faster than I anticipated, not solid evidence we are the same people, although I can see where you are coming from. I'm not just lending to this guy and leaving, I'm going to lend to others and probably invest in hashking's deposit. I'm surprised on all the negative attention I've received here with lending someone with a similar number of posts and a similar join date some bitcoins.

What kind of proof are you guys looking for to prove we are not the same people anyhow? Are you looking for something like ID, etc. because IP address/geolocation/information on profile/posting history doesn't seem to be good enough (which I can totally understand). At any rate, what kind of evidence are you guys truly looking for here? Being that bitcoin is based around the ability to be anonymous, it's pretty hard to track anything like an address I understand, so transaction records are practically worthless.

Personally, I would think either a proxy/spare line were used so IP's woudn't show anything conclusive. Heck, it could even be two friends collaborating for a bigger heist.

I understand you guys (as a forum) probably get scammed quite often, with bitcoin being analogous to cash/anonymity and all that jazz...

I already have a minor mining operation setup, but this loan was for an unrelated matter. (Who cares the actual reason, since that could be MADE UP anyway as long as I pay you back?)

Given the stickies in this section, the info in this thread (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--76594), and the regular contact I have with several others, I think my recommendation would be conflicted.

However, Hashking completed a decent sized loan with me (he repaid in full and on time back on 29th March), and he's putting in some decent work into the deposit side of his business.

I don't think you need to build up your rep to deposit on hashkings'.
To take a loan from him, yeah, you might need some more rep

Yeah, I'm planning to moving over to investing in hashking's deposits perhaps once I build my rep up just a tiny bit. Anyone here had any direct experience with hashking's deposit service? Looks pretty credible due to what I've seen so far.

Not sure how to prove it to you, but I joined this forum when I saw the topic for Coinworker.com (awesome service, BTW.) and eventually purchased one month from bitservers.co.uk. First time I've seen never2sleep in my life is today, and figured I'd join in on the lending bandwagon, see what it's all about and get someone's rep up a bit.

Thanks.  It's useful, especially as you aim to be able to borrow in the future, and as a lender, I may provide you with that loan.  I have done many loans to relatively new users, and some were simple scammers, and others have turned into good customers.  At this stage, I don't have an opinion one way or the other.

As for critisims, yes, some members derive their entertainment from spotting the next potential scammer, bad loan or dubious newbie.  That comes with the forum, and isn't likely to go away any time soon.  Sometimes it really pisses people off and other times users simply disappear.

Something I have found to establish confidence is to show that you're actually doing something productive with your loans. Loans to buy consumer goods to float you between paychecks aren't in the same caliber as loans to purchase mining equipment. Perhaps it'll help your case to mention your plans for the loan and provide some supporting information if this is a mining venture.
