Perhaps you are having trouble reading my opening post. I chose not to sell the stock (despite receiving offers from other platforms) as I decided to open a store instead which will be going live soon. Your "we don't care to buy" comment...I wasn't aware that you speak for every single person on this forum?
And if you had bothered to check the products in question, you would (or should) know that they are premium brand name products which have huge demand.

You also have trouble reading all other posts and suggestions here.
Your collateral is a physical good, and you must send it to a potential lender, which significantly complicates the whole loan procedure. If you send your collateral, this will make it harder for you to start the store which complicates repayment.
Usually, collateral to be valid must be "easy" to liquidate, which in your case is not possible even if it is half the value.
My goodness. Did you and condoras go to the same school? How exactly will it make the store more difficult to open? I have several hundred products and multiples on most products so opening the store is carried out as per normal.
Anyway, closing/locking this thread.

Perhaps you are having trouble reading the section itself. Here is the lending section meaning that lenders don't want to invest in any idea that you might have or for products or whatever you sell (especially when you put it already for sale). You ask for money without any guaranty and I tell you that without valid collateral you won't get a single sat here. Instead, you might get a neg.

Why would I lock the thread? This collateral can be easily sold as they are products with a huge demand and the actual value far far exceeds the 110/120% that is quoted in the rules thread (well over 200% of value in fact). Check ebay if you don't believe me.

Because the collateral that you offer can't be considered as collateral. 1- You already put them for sale so you won't miss them, thus you won't have any reason to repay and 2- Here isn't a marketplace, we don't care to buy.
Btw, if these products have such a huge demand, then why didn't find anyone to sell them and you came here to ask for a loan?

Understood re the shipping/storage point.

What about the collateral point? Did you understand it as well? Because if you did, then it will be wised to lock your thread. Wink

You might as well tell us what those items are if you want someone to bite, but it would likely have to be a person local to you unless you pay for shipping both ways.

If it's this stuff: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5310078 - it looks like it would be a pain for the lender to liquidate if you default.
Thanks for the message. Yes those products I was previously looking to sell. Understood re the shipping/storage point.

I want to make clear that I absolutely do not want to lose 50% of my stock so I would be looking to pay this back as soon as possible.

If you don't want to lose your stock, then why you put it for sale in the first place? Undecided

I know this is a different type of collateral

This is not a different type, isn't collateral at all.

I have approx £25k of retail stock from my business. I was selling this online (through ebay which has a true selling value of between £16 - £19k) and I am in the process of setting-up my online store (some 500 + products) but need some urgent funds for a family member. I require just £3k and would be prepared to put up half of all the stock as collateral. This is brand named stock (and not junk no-name brands) and I would like to pay this back + a to be agreed interest amount over a several month period (the pro-rata % of my stock returned to me as and when the payments are made).
I know this is a different type of collateral offering but I want to make clear that I absolutely do not want to lose 50% of my stock so I would be looking to pay this back as soon as possible.

Edit - meant to add above, I did previously list all of this stock for sale here and on some other platforms but chose to set-up a large online store instead (hence my comment above).
