I dislike NFT's in general - some of them I can appreciate but most of the ones I see like the punk/apes/dogs/apes etc look like zero talent, zero effort just computer generated 8 bit gfx not worth a sat yet because of the hype and the greed and the apparent ability to flip them for a quick profit/money grab - they are selling like hotcakes.

but in my opinion none of that is for the "art" of it - just a way to make a quick buck.

ones like Lucho and what cryptoart.com might do - I can see value. Though I prefer physical to electronic any day.

I prefer physical as well.  And agree that this is a bubble with utter bullshit garbage selling for just stupid money...  But I think the value proposition is there if executed properly, by the likes of Cryptoart.com.
I ask this: If the NFT's can make our pieces more valuable, what's the harm? I'm definitely never gonna buy a digital rock, but I love the fine framed art in my home.

I have to say that ad seems like a scammers scam.  That said, I think and would love to get other members thought on the coming pathway to  NFTs for circulating Cryptoart.com pieces.  I think that by issuing NFTs that go to the circulating work, we should see less scamming with respect to BS ads like that one because to me the NFT that the validated physical art owner has would represent a sort of deed to the art.   I'm pretty stoked about the fact that Cryptoart.com has expressed interest in moving forward in the space with NFTs and really bridging the gap from the physical to the digital.

I just lean back and enjoy the show when the experts are talking. thanks guys!  Smiley

I like the idea you can submit your own public key and also the following..

Advanced users can exchange the private key/QR code without damaging the art piece.
Alternatively, you can request a custom address.

So people who do buy these should be aware of this.
I have loaded mine with a minute amount just for kicks.
If I was ever to load more than $20 worth of btc, I would change pub and priv keys that I self generated.

agreed! and I may do it eventually - but decided not to do it at this time.

This is similar to what you should be seeing
sorry, this one is not for sale though, for example purposes only.
As an owner of a number of these prints I highly recommend them Smiley
But, warning, you will need to find a lot of space wall space... you'll want them up and visible to enjoy them Wink

Viz

thanks for the sharing! I went with the 8.5" x 11" so that they will fit in the binder that cryptoart sold.

in looking at the darkcoin (dash) one, cryptoart website stated it came pre-loaded with 1/10 of a dash - I have not noticed any of their artwork previously coming with value loaded to them. was it the only one to come pre-loaded?

Quote
Pre-loaded amount: 0.1 DRK (1/10 of a dashcoin).  You can add more anytime.

Most of them, as far as I know, come loaded with a small amount of coin on.
So the Litecoin pic had some LTC on, the Peercoin with some Peercoin etc etc

Viz

ahh ok - i was just looking in the descriptions on the cryptoart website none of them say anything about being loaded except the darkcoin one. At least none that I saw. but it would be cool if they were loaded - even if just a tidbit Smiley

Yep...I think only the darkcoin….don't recall have any that I bought pre loaded with btc.

Darkcoin>>

•Artist: Nina Y.
•Currency: Darkcoin (DASH)
•Pre-loaded amount: 0.1 DRK (1/10 of a dashcoin).  You can add more anytime.
•Limited edition giclée
•Published on Hahnemühle museum quality paper with archival inks
•Certificate of authenticity included

BTC>>
Artist: Alix Branwyn
•Title: Bitcoin Obituaries
•Currency: Bitcoin
•Edition count: 40 (30 small, 7 medium, 3 large).
•Limited edition giclée.  Once sold out, not more will be printed.
•Published on Hahnemühle museum quality paper with archival inks
•Certificate of Authenticity included

My motivation for selling it isn’t that high, and digging it up will take a bit of work but I will try and see if I can spend some time doing so later this afternoon. The condition is perfect / mint. I store everything very particularly so that nothing gets damaged. I would also have the COA, as I bought the piece from them directly a few years ago.

take your time. I am not impatient.

Pretty sure that I've got that Patriot Chick , the bottom one you're looking for.  Not a huge fan of it so I'd be willing to part ways with it.  That darkcoin piece to my knowledge is the most sought after piece and will cost you an arm and a leg if you find it ( maybe I'm wrong and there's others more desired but this is what I've gathered over the past few years). Just a shame it's Darkcoin.  Monero would make it so much more bad ass.

I don't know what I wan't for it, feel free to shoot me a PM with an offer.

find it first - take some pics and let me see the condition, whether you have the COA, what # it is etc etc. then I can make an educated offer. And yes, I am finding the darkcoin one a bitch to find with a reasonable price lol

Also, they are not signed by the artist and they are numbered by the owner of Cryptoart.

can you state what signature that is at the bottom right corner? its above the printed name of the artist.

That signature is part of the print.  It's not hand signed.

got it and that is what he was calling a signature - it is the signature of the artist but the artist did not sign that actual picture.

thank you all for the feedback!

I will keep a stern eye out when looking in secondary market to try and make sure it is not a fraudulent piece - preferably I would like to see any I buy that are not directly from cryptoart to be from a trusted forum member. That being said, sometimes you have to go outside the lines! right?

They may end up being out of my price range as well but I will still be looking!

edit: I will also be sure to share actual images when mine arrive!

That ebay piece is a scam.

That piece is not funded with the amount stated, in fact it's not funded at all:
https://blockchair.com/search?q=1CcUuerXT3kAjGPwScJykUrVkNUw3YMv8W

Also, they are not signed by the artist and they are numbered by the owner of Cryptoart.

The information in that listing is VERY inaccurate!

Stryfe -

CryptoArt is indeed very cool. I too enjoy collecting these pieces. Unfortunately some of them are rare and a challenge to find.

The "Patriot" is hard to find, but there were I think 200 produced, so they show up sometimes.
The Dark Coin piece "Protectionism" is a rare bird and I have yet to find one for sale on secondary market. There were only 30 of them produced, so much more rare and would likely command a high price if someone was willing to part with it.
The Round Table pieces are even more limited, so also significantly more rare and expensive. I have seen one or two for sale in secondary market and they were out of my price range.

There are other pieces that are sold out and also some still for sale that you did not mention. They are addictive though so be careful.  There are many collectors here who have CryptoArt collections, so maybe some one will have what you are looking for.

hello - after seeing the raffle for "The Tinkerer" I ordered some of my own CryptoArt (I waited to place my order until after the raffle - lol wanted to see if I would get lucky and win the first piece to my soon to be collection)

I purchased the following ones and will be eagerly awaiting their arrival.

I am looking for the following in the 8.5"x11" size if anyone has them available as they are sold out on the site - oh and would be possibly interested in 8.5"x11" of the Satoshi Roundtable images - there are 3 on the site but require a password to view/order - a password I do not have Sad
