Burned out 3 hubs today!
Type: BIGTec 10-port (mentioned in BEWARE section, page #1)
see photo.

NB: was working fine for 1-2weeks, now burned out.

After having a similar problem (the barrels are only rated to 5a  max anyway) I removed the barrel connecter and replaced it with a pcb mounted screw terminal block like this

I also cut the + track that connects to the host usb port on the hub to stop voltage feedback

Apart from that they work fine to run 10 over clocked erupters with a big enough psu

Someone on these forums somewhere posted a picture of one of those cheap chinese 10 port usb 2.0 hubs where the plastic barrel receiver was malformed and melted. I cannot find it though. Can someone link it please?
