Why do so many folks avoid taking responsibility for making decisions in their lives? It is YOUR money - read the tons upon tons of opinions already given here in the Forum and then DECIDE FOR YOURSELF.

Hi all,

New to the forum and bitcoin mining. I have very cheap electricity in my locality and want to start with mining bitcoins. I have gone through the basics however, I am unable to decide which crypto-currency to mine, the ones with ASIC or the ones with GPU RIG>

Thanks

Try your first step with NiceHash Miner miner.nicehash.com
You don't earn much but it teaches you the basic of BTC mining. Then go from there...

First read Bitcoin mining 101
If you can deal with the 5 points given then go for it.
If you can't - find a different plan.

What most people do is, they mine new coins first and collect them and sell them at higher prices once community grows or they get listed on exchanges.

Ps: Check these sites and chose the most profitable one.

Hi, I've been toying around with getting a decent miner, but can't decide. I'm a bit strapped for cash at the moment but want to get started anyway.

If my power costs are $0.00, and efficiency per watt isn't required, is there a cheap way to get into mining that doesn't have a long 9-10 month pay back period?

I've looked and theirs just so much uncertainty when it comes to mining, I know going altcoin gives me the most flexibility and allows me to slowly invest 1 card at a time. But are there really no older gen miners that weren't efficient but still pump out THs?

I know it's probably a stupid question but I figured since I'm new maybe you'll forgive me this one Smiley
