There is no valid reason for merchants not to accept Bitcoin, there isn o additional infrastructure, they pay less fees and get money faster.

tbh that user hasn't been online since May25, so you will probably not get a reply.
Find a T shirt company you like and suggest Bitpay or Coinbase. Both operate in the UK. No skin off anyone's nose and it might set another ball rolling.
I guess this would be the best option, and you could just claim that there is a large demand for bitcoin accepting companies, and there is literally no harm in starting to accept it.
