Sounds like a good plan.  Read lots - there is a lot of information around, and different names appear in different sections of the forum.

It happens sometimes you get caught in someone else's disaster - the lending section has a couple.

this is true.. very disappointing we cant have a 3rd party identification verification service..

been thinking about setting one up so that at least you can know who you lend to.

the worst part is not knowing who stiffed you in the end.

I saw this when posted.  Still watching.  Post distribution looks odd, but content reasonable.  Coincidence of request with known scammer posting taunts is also noted.
yeah, timing sucks as I've just found out.

What do you want 10 coins for anyway?
I had half planned for a glbse share purchase in FPGA.contract/BMMO, the remainder as a contingency, until I can get sufficient funds in through mtgox/tradehill, but that won't be until a week following Monday.

Also as you can probably see from one of my posts (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/electrum-created-a-negative-balance-rounding-errors-62609) I'm zeroing my electrum wallet and the transactions are taking their time.

It's no great loss if I don't get them, I'll just forgo the opportunity, and try and build my rep and posts - though that might be this time next year.

now, off to read more of the scam threads to see what I dropped myself into - the perils of not completely reading the topics.

Sorry to say so, but in the wake of recent scams I wouldn't lend to anyone without more rep/proof. You could try asking for Burt/Patrick too see if their banks would borrow you as they're the most active loaning organisations around here.

what rep and what proof? I might have missed something in the reading of this topic but I am willing to provide somethings.

Burt, yes, well um... i think i caused him to change his nick.... . I'd been reading a bit too quickly and got him mixed up with Bruce... ooops.

No rep + looking to borrow after a couple of posts. I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be kais3r or kujoking7.

Nope. Just getting started with bitcoin. Currently trying to get the -otc gpg keys sorted out. Currently managed to create a key that expires in 6 months, and is only 1024bits.

Hi,

I'm looking to borrow 10BTC and will pay back 11.5BTC.

If possible I would like an option to roll forwards for another 7 days, after making a preliminary repayment of interest.
