You need to tell people what rate you want. Again, if you're fine with ~13-15% fees, go on virwox. You need to wait 48hrs on the very first transaction, but after that you can increase your daily amount as you level your account up. You can start at 88usd/24hrs, except for the initial 48hr wait.
I was looking for offers really, maybe 0.016 BTC for $5 USD? I have no idea how to use Virwox, I looked into it a little, about having to use another currency first to trade into BTC. Seems a little over complicated for just a $5-10 transaction. However, if nobody trades with me here (i'm starting to get a little bored of asking, everybody is probably getting bored sick of seeing my name on this board) I guess i'll have to look into using Virwox.
Thanks for the reply.

It's dead simple, really. Just try it out. You go USD/SLL. Then SLL/BTC. Done in literally 15 seconds. Everything is calculated automatically for you via the site. And you were wanting to do, what, $170 before? This way you could get about half of that out of the way.

Almost no one will trade with you here, though there's usually someone willing to do a super small transaction like you're suggesting. Someone should come around, but you may need to wait a bit for that to happen. But in the mean time, yeah, look at virwox. It's really not as bad as you think!

No no no, I didn't want to trade $170, I was just saying to a newbie with 1 post he was unlikely to get a trade partner as HE wanted to trade $170 PayPal for BTC. Thanks for the explanation on Virwox, I think I'll give it a shot! Seems simple enough, and you covered all the bases by the sound of it, I appreciate it, thank you Smiley I've got a guy that wants to trade the $5, but I think ill trade another $10 on Virwox anyway.
Thanks Smiley

Hi,
I am looking to buy $5-$10 worth of BTC. I would like to pay with PayPal (read this if you're unaware of the risks of PayPal BTC transactions: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/beware-of-paypal-and-other-reversible-transfer-services-14632) and therefore I do not expect an immediate seller. The reason I would like to buy such a small amount is so I can get back to what I did with my BTC in the first place and experiment a new way for me to earn BTC. If you're willing to trade, leave me a message or post a reply to this topic.
Cheers Cheesy
