would someone really fall for this scam as there is no way to make sure they pay you back. It would have to be collateral that someone would want as the likely hood of being repaid is slim to none.

you can reach me on [email protected] for your loan needs

This is surely a scam. That protonmail name (adam smithen) sounds and stinks so scammy.

And I'm sure there is no loan. You will offer a loan for a fee. And that fee must be paid upfront. Either that or you send a borrower a check (cheque for our Commonwealth friends) which shows an amount much higher than the agreed loan amount. The rationale behind this is the check is fake and it takes times for banks to clear them. In the meantime, the bank will allow the customer to tentatively use the amount shown on the check. American banks have this practice of letting their customers access funds on a yet to be cleared check. When this happens, you then tell your victim that you "accidentally" wrote a larger amount on the check and if he could please send the difference back by Western Union or bitcoin asap.

The scam is discovered only days or weeks or even months later when the check bounces or is found to be fake.

I'm seeking somebody who can lend give me a small bitcoin loan for a few weeks.
I'm in a bit of a jam but will be getting a big medical settlement for a car accident i was injured in before end of November.
Willing to pay 25 % interest
I have a localbitcoin account, established years ago and have been actively trading on there the entire time with a 100 % rating

Localbitcoins accounts are not seen as a valid collateral cause these accounts can be hacked, bought or stolen very easily. I don't believe you really got a car accident, I am sure ur insurance company would pay u if u were involved in a crash. It makes no sense at all, don't even try to scam here.
