I've commented a thread couple day ago on this forum, it means I have an activity gained. Then I realized that I lost my activity because that thread have been deleted by moderator or poster for a reason I guess.
If any post deleted for any types of violation then you will loss your post count. And your activity rank and post count same than you will loss activity rank too. But if your post count is more than activity rank then you will not loss your activity rank.

Related to "Deleted Posts" issue, what if I get merit on that thread, would my merit get lost too if that thread was deleted by moderator or poster?
You will loss only post count and activity rank but you will never loss your merit for being deleted a post.

Understood, thanks.

If you got merit for a post, you won't lose it, and it doesn't matter if the post or the thread in which its in gets deleted.  That's one of the things I like about the merit system--it's permanent.  You can lose activity and posts, but you cannot lose merits once received.
there are not many moderators in this forum to prove some merit farming act.
And Theymos doesn't really want much action against merit abusers, since in time they should burn themselves out.  The way sMerits decay when they're given out kind of ensures that.  Yes, some people are going to rank up who shouldn't, but it's still orders of magnitude better than before.
I got your point, happy to know that the merit system is permanent. Thank you for letting me know!

One of DT member already answered you nicely. I think it's enough to understand whatever you want to know. I think it's better to lock your topic now to avoid spamming. Thanks.
Will do, thanks.

I really like the idea of merits are permanent once you earned it, but the farmers use this method to cover their farming act and i guess it is hard to track it back for normal member, unless the tracker is moderator or administrator i guess, but once again, there are not many moderators in this forum to prove some merit farming act.
I think we can take a look at their merit history. Yes, need to work hard to track the farmers.

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. I'm not sure this has been discussed already. But this topic is still comes into my head.

I've commented a thread couple day ago on this forum, it means I have an activity gained. Then I realized that I lost my activity because that thread have been deleted by moderator or poster for a reason I guess. Related to "Deleted Posts" issue, what if I get merit on that thread, would my merit get lost too if that thread was deleted by moderator or poster?

I would greatly appreciate it if you kindly give me some feedback on this topic.
