These scammers are making a killing by taking advantage of the noobs.
Ignorance and greed are indeed filling the pockets of scammers, but then again, the people who do get scammed and publicly speak out potentially prevent others from falling for the same scams.

Sure, there will always be noobs falling for scams, because those who entered like a day ago have to start from scratch in terms of building up knowledge and crypto etiquette, but eventually it will change due to the nature of this market.

The speculative phase we're in blinds people due to their greed, while if it turns into something that's more focused on use, people automatically will become more interested in conducting proper research.

We cant really blame completely to those person who got victimized but we do keep saying and giving advise on making up some research before making any transactions online.
Google is always been there and a simple line of words to be searched will not really cost you a leg.Just having this kind of habit anytime you do make transactions will
possibly avoid you into future loss of funds.

You can really lose here some btc and alts if your not knowledgeable here so better to try first a few satoshi like 0.001 btc then withdraw that then i really do that like example i trade in mercatox when i create account there then withdraw it to try what will happen and it arrived already with 1 day process,Moreover use their site if they trusted and run here in crypto for so long
Try to read the whole thread first please. Exchange and mixers/blenders are two different things. The one opted by OP is a phishing site so there's no reason for trying of sending smaller amount to a service that was terminated year ago.

If you want to avoid situations like these in the future, always try not to use 3rd party services/wallets when you are dealing with bitcoin.

Or at least do some researches before you move your coins to a different wallet.

These scammers are making a killing by taking advantage of the noobs.

For this we have to be more careful and careful when looking at websites, many websites are in the name of bitcoin so they have the opportunity to cheat crypto lovers especially beginners. As an experience that must be more vigilant about scam websites.

I think you need to always find out about a site before you do such transaction from people who may have knowledge about it or that have used it before using it, it seems you have been scam by pishing site that pretend to be real site , well is another lesson learnt or you can always test with little first and see if that will deliver before going for big amount.

Helix Light shut down over a year ago. Their official site was http://grams7enufi7jmdl.onion/. The site you found is a fake. I'm afraid you have been scammed, and your bitcoin are lost.

Grams ceased operations on December 16, 2017 (PGP signed verification by gramsadmin). Any site claiming to be operating the Helix Light mixing or tumbling service is a fake and you will be scammed out of any money you put into it.

It seems that a scammer has edited the bitcoin wiki page to point to another fake site, but a different fake to the one you used.

Unfortunately there is too much interference in this and similar fraud about crypto coins.

I'm sorry about the Bitcoins you lost. I hope you find a way to get it back.

The OP wont be getting those coins back unfortunately.
There are plenty of mixing sites why did the OP choose Helix Light?
Just goes to show how cunning scammers are, they put a lot of effort into scamming its a pity they dont use that energy in a legitimate way.

One kf the first things we are taught on the forum is not to trust anyone.
Its a gard lesson but now you know the scammers are everywhere.

As a consolation you are highlighting the fake site which scammed you
so others here can be aware and not fall for the trap.

Hello everyone.

Yesterday I bought bitcoins from my wallet (coin base)

I wanted to do a test with Helix light

https://helix-light.info/status/bJshddMIANbmN

The bitcoins from my portfolio have been scaled up and arrived after 6 confirmations at the Helix light address, before being sent to another Wallet.

1 bitcoins have been scaled from my account
2 arrived at the address indicated on the website

https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/tx/1b4c1ec4476618a740061662bf8a645b5380dd50756808d27c312b2501f3e92f/

The internet page in which it indicated the address of receipt, after 1 day nothing has arrived, while if I look in the blockchain, the bit coins have arrived but not sent to the address chosen by me.

In practice, my wallet has been scaled and sent after 6 confirmations and received by helix and not sent to my wallett.

I looked at the coin-base page in the "bitcoin" portfolio ... the transaction is confirmed at the site's address, but between yesterday and today the confirmations have become 155

What does it mean?

I have to wait or I've been cheated

??

the helix page has expired obviously
helix's support is unresponsive.

my bitcoins are here

https://www.blockchain.com/it/btc/address/1NseYE9E3CdYhbmg3rwuqs1GcYpeidfAtp

someone can give me an opinion, I understood that surely I was cheated, but maybe I was not careful about something

Thank you

buddy 3 passes to the opposite side of bitcoin after receiving confirmation. Probably this site is a scam. And you swindled.  The best thing you can do is take a picture of these actions and apply to the Cyber IT police. Get well soon!!

When a transaction is first broadcast, it is "unconfirmed". Once it has been included in a mined block, it has 1 confirmation, and the number of confirmations increases by 1 for every further block that is mined.

160 confirmations simply means 160 blocks have been mined since your transaction was first confirmed on the blockchain. It is a metric of your bitcoin being sent to another address - it has nothing to do with whether the address you have sent to is owned by a legitimate operator or a scammer.

In future, it is worth spending some time researching any service you wish to use online. A simple Google of "Helix light" would have returned several results telling you that it has shutdown, and any sites now operating under that name are scams.
