Hi,

I wanted to add an Active key for my EOS genesis account because it has the same key for owner or active. For sure, I made a mistake then may be lost my account.
I will explain bellow what I have done :
- I have used simpleos for creating a new account, then I copy and backup to a file the 3 keys it has displayed (owner, active and private).
- I have closed simpleos (The bellow keys was not sent to the blockchain).
- I have connected to my account on eosauthority web site and clicked on manage keys and paste the above active key in  active permission field.
- I have applyed with scatter.

Since that time, I can not make any transaction on my account.

Please can you help ?

probably u have no eos for buying RAM or CPU,
as far i know, if we dont have a CPU or RAM we cant make any transaction.
well, i create some EOS account on zeos.co then i must pay first to him for buying some RAM and CPU to make my account active.

Seems like you sorted out your problem yourself. In case you'll need a new EOS account, you can use lumi wallet, you don't have to pay there for creating one.

Right, to just make a new one, you don't have to pay, but to activate it you still have to have a little eos balance so that the wallet can be used optimally, so after making a new one, please provide a little eos for that.

Now it is ok. The Wallet or scatter does not know about the private key of the new active key. That was the problem.
SirLancelot : The principle is the same for all crypto. If you loose your private key, then say goodby to your coins. There are many coins in blockchains that have no owner...

I don't really know how eos works because I haven't made use of it since it's launch but one thing I know about crypto is that once you lose your key for accessing your wallet, you will immediately loss access to your account including in the future because in the crypto space you control your own coin and no one would be able to recover it for you, I just hope it's not same principle in eos, because that will just mean that your coin cannot be recovered.
