Without the private key or mnemonic phrase at least, you will not be able to access your wallet. I hope this teaches you a lesson to be very careful next time

Hello people of bitcoin talk

It has been a long while since i last posted, but i come here for your help.

If you help me retrieve my LTC i will pay you 0.25 LTC

So I have a 24 word memnomic phrase for a account, and also a phassphrase for a account, I moved 5 LTC from this account along time ago into a new address (for some reason?)

This is the public key that contains the 5LTC (LdoxdnYfTbg9zpgiUg8dCktw2CZm2QCygK) They are my coins i moved there over a year ago.

Im pretty sure the private key is somewhere within the memnomic phrase / passphrase account... as its the only place i would have transfered it too since it is safe.

Im not sure if this LTC address is a segwit/non segwit and dont know how i could go about using my memomic phrase / passhrase to retrieve the private key

Any help will be greatly appreciate, and i will of course pay you the 0.25 if i regain access

Thanks

It is interesting. Your first post written 2017, August. It seems this account your sub-account Smiley

And the main subject. I don't think you can get this LTC back. Because you promise to community 0.25LTC for recovering. But I want to ask, if anyone can recover this account, why he wouldn't take all LTC's for himself?

Even to pay me not just 0.25 but 25 LTC will not be good and impossible.
Once lost it will remain lost, all you need is your records and you must have it.
You will not have a problem if you will locate the files where you saved the phrases.

You said that you "have a 24 word memnomic phrase for a account, and also a phassphrase for a account". So where is the problem? If you have these informations then you should be able to access your wallet.

One year ago? I think you could remember how you create the recovery seed at the first place, it could be the software you downloaded from some random site, may be hinting the name of the software you used, some part of the name will do too, may be the icons of the software, if it’s the hardware wallet you’re talking about, it would be wise to contact the support unit of the said hardware, I had no idea what could have created that seed by just knowing the word counts btw.

Thanks, I have removed all other funds out of the 24 word phrase to ensure they are safe.

I'm a bit confused. How many sets of recovery seed do you actually have? One? Two? Also, did you send out the 5 LTC to a wallet that you actually made yourself? or to actually the same wallet(just with a different address) that contained the initial amount of LTC you have?

DJI-BTC, you want to say that you send LTC from you hardware wallet to some other wallet / address and that you think that seed you have now is generated that LTC address? Then you should see that address just by using UI of your hardware wallet, unless you're not create new seed for hardware wallet at some point?

I know for Electrum LTC, and I use it before for this coin - so you can try download this wallet and import your seed. Your address is Legacy type so you should choose this option in process of restoring wallet.

This is link for wallet, and you should not use any other site - if you know how there is possibility to verify signature just to be sure wallet is not fake.

Yes i sent the funds, there is defiently no one else who has access to my hardware wallet.

I still have access to the memnomic phrase and i know the second layer phassphrase which i am sure is attached to the LTC address above with the 5LTC inside,  I just dont know what software to use to import these 24 word seed into and search through all the addresses
If you say that the address where the ltc funded came from the mnemonic phrases you save and this phrases are generated from your hardware wallet then its much better to use the software wallet of the HW you own? Because importing your seed from HW to random wallet will oppose the purpose of a HW.

Btw what HW you're using.

I downloaded loafwallet but it only supports 12 word seeds not 24 Sad

You can try imporing your mnemonic phrase using LoafWallet[1].

Remember though, if you're importing the mnemonic phrase that you've created using your hardware wallet, make sure to create a new wallet with a new set of mnemonic phrases after you do what you have to do, just to be safe.

I'm afraid it's next to impossible to gain access to a certain wallet by just knowing the wallet's address. Are you sure you're the one who actually sent out the LTC? You seem to be unsure based on your statement.
