Without access to the email account and/or a signed address then you could say that it is gone for good (since you can't prove it is yours). Pay more attention next time.

I would say usually no. There's a thread in this section where you can 'stake' one or several of your addresses. I don't see a valid reason for one not to have an address somewhere if they are concerned about this.

Without access to the email account and/or a signed address then you could say that it is gone for good (since you can't prove it is yours). Pay more attention next time.

Maybe if you could provide other sufficient evidence of it being yours to an admin they might help you out but I wouldn't count on it and account restorations are not a priority not to mention there's quite a few other people still waiting for theirs to be retrieved so it'll likely take some time if at all.
