The important you should need if you lose 2fa or forgot any password to recover it with your 12 word seed phrase..
If you have a backup you can recover it without the 2fa or email recovery..
This important if you save it you can recover it here https://blockchain.info/wallet/#/recover

For me the safiest wallet until now electrum but you should always had antivirus for safety of your files in your machine..

I have never been in this situation. Its 8th of December, and as I have lost my mobile SIM card  I requested [Suspicious link removed] for deactivation of 2FA, and it sent an email requesting confirmation.  I confirmed, but saw blockchain was still requiring SMS.  So I panicked and clicked "Forgot password". I reset to a very long password.  Then saw no confirmation of password change email.   To my horror realized blockchain was not going to allow log in until 23 December, 14 days from now.

Has anyone else been caught in this situation or do you know about the 14  day rule?   I hear bitcoin is going to crash. Is there a way to get into my blockchain account faster?

If I can't get into my account for 14 days, will I really get in after 14 days, or will blockchain steal all my money?

What is a safer way to store your bitcoin? I mean if you lose one device you should have a backup device should you not?

Thanks for help-feedback-comments-any'
