It's nice to see some positive news in this forum from time to time. In recent times it's all about bitcoin dead, blah, blah, blah. But then suddenly you see some hope. More and more major services need to follow the path.

Hopefully all the major airlines will soon follow suit  Cheesy

Richard Branson (MD/Chief Exec/Owner) of the entire Virgin franchise is very bullish on bitcoin, google it if you don't believe me. I'm certain he'll integrate bitcoin as a payment option for Virgin Atlantic at some point. I'm surprised he hasn't done it already to be honest. He speaks about bitcoin positively & recently held some kind of bitcoin conference on his private island.

I am really surprised by Poland! They seem to me very crypto oriented. I mean this is a big deal. LOT is a very good airliner and they in some way represent their country and their government! If a national carrier makes this move, then I see Polish government as very open to Bitcoin.

I am adding to this that Polish T-mobile has given the discount to their customers if they pay in Bitcoin several weeks ago.

I salut to Poland! We are certainly headed into right direction!

That's pretty cool OmegaStarStream, every little bit of positive news like this is a small step to achieving mainstream adoption. It's going to take a long time but we will get there. I love the bolded bit -

Jiri Marek, executive director of sales and distribution for the company, said the decision demonstrates how LOT is open to "every client need" as well as innovations in the travel industry.

Marek said:

""Many of our customers are shopping online, including flights. It is only a matter of time before virtual currency payments will become as popular as credit card use nowadays. We saw this potential."

I've noticed you around a lot lately posting some really good stuff. Have you recently changed your avatar or did you take a break from posting & return? It's weird I never noticed you before. Keep up the good work any way.

LOT Polish Airlines is now accepting bitcoin payments, meaning the digital currency can be used to pay for flights to more than 60 global destinations.

Tickets can be purchased on LOT's desktop and mobile websites. LOT does not accept directly, but exchanges the digital currency for fiat using an unnamed payment service provider, the media outlet said.

LOT now accepts bitcoin alongside payment methods including American Express, PayPal, MasterCard and Visa.

Jiri Marek, executive director of sales and distribution for the company, said the decision demonstrates how LOT is open to "every client need" as well as innovations in the travel industry.

Marek said: (I really liked his statement , it's just a matter of time Grin )

""Many of our customers are shopping online, including flights. It is only a matter of time before virtual currency payments will become as popular as credit card use nowadays. We saw this potential."
