Hello,

I know it s not really related but it looks like building a full Ethereum archival node requires $100000 in ram these days as the latency of ssd begins to be too slow.
Would it be possible to get from you the database you re using to get your money back from the lottery you created please

I don't see any public telegram, are you planning to launch any chat or is this thread going to be for chit-chat with the community?

This is probably going to be the place for questions and answers now, if more requests come up we’ll think about opening a telegram group.

I’d suggest you guys have a place for chit chat as well, for you it might bring out some insights you can reference.

We didn’t start with telegram because we were hoping to have more efficient conversations here first, where questions are being answered and can be relatively easy to find.

I think in general everyone wants more options on choosing which coin/token we can use more than ETH.

But to be fair, it's quite alright to try. UI is friendly and easy.

Yes we hear you, however we’re still sticking to ETH for a little longer considering it being the most decentralized protocol out there, we want to build the fairest game, we need to start from the fairest platform, once that goal is achieved, we’ll look at what our priority is, multi token may be one of them, but we can promise we’ll always have the users in mind.

This is tricky and interesting at the same time.

Website it plain and simple to understand.  Though would want to have some quick video tutorial how this works.

And prize amount is crazy!

We’re working on a quick video right now, although the prize isn’t close to what our goal is yet, it’s on track

Wow. This is the first time I heard about a lottery in the blockchain community. I saw that you only accept ETH, do you plan to accept other currency in the future? Also, I agree with some of the comments here, the UI of the websites needs to improve.

So far it’s mainly ETH, we still believe Ethereum to be the most decentralized protocol, many others compromises decentralization for scalability or speed, we understand that’s important, but we don’t want to build anything that’s not truly centralized, it defeats the purpose, so to your question, in the short term we’re not planning to accept other currencies, ETH should be widely available enough for now.

Yes we agree the UIUX has room to improve, we’re kicking off that part of the improvements already.

Agree in general with comments above. Lottery is still one of those very difficult areas that crypto has not yet been successful in. My idea to you, make it 0 fee/commission to the house, or even try to make it slightly +EV by just adding to the prize pool from your own funds. OR give away free tickets you pay for.

Just for the beginning. Otherwise impossible for lottery sites to start!

Thank you, at some point we might, we’re still at the stage of making sure every thing on the experience part works perfect, but your suggestion will be on our list of action items.

Lottoshi Is Now Live
The first lottery in the world that combines token sale contracts with product
If Satoshi made a lottery, this would be it
Fair, decentralized and transparent
I just visited your site, it's simple but too much white background does not look good. Maybe you can put an option to toggle between night mode for those who prefer darker backgrounds. Secondly do you also have an app and the main picture on your site shows a phone displaying your site image ?

Just checked the site and I really dig the white design. I am not a big fan of lotteries personally, but the low bet amounts have peaked my interest.

Yes for now it’s ETH only.
I do hope you consider adding more payment options like BTC and LTC since this could attract more people over the long run. LTC addition would raise my interest considerably since its TX fees are pretty low when compared to other currencies.

i think you should move this thread into the correct section which is Service Announcements (Altcoins)
i just saw that your website offers an investing program but can you explain what is the advantages of your token?
Edit: i just saw the benefit of invest in your website on this thread

Thanks for the suggestion, we’ll consider it.
The advantage of the LTS token is simple, first of all LTS holders get 12% from all later investment by share of LTS, also 17.5% of the prize pool will also always go to LTS token holders as well. Basically LTS holders gets paid in dividends.

It is indeed great about their idea but I'm not amazed by the site. I agree with the post above to let people know if it's ETH only for playing your lottery game or people can choose which cryptocurrency they would use to play whether ETH or using LTS for the lottery game. In your thread and this is what I have read "Play lottery with ETH anywhere in the world".

Yea we’ll make that a little more clear in our next version, thanks for the tip!

After seeing this kind of Idea of a lottery it seems great but I think the UI needs to be in a crips design so many people would surely dig into your site and are this ETH only or you can choose what type of coin you would make a bet, I think this should have a coin changer for you to pick what coin you would like, but again I like the idea of an online Lottery but as a new site this needs to be reviewed first so I will keep in watch.

The Lottoshi team will continue to optimize its experience, so far we’re pretty happy with our progress on making it transparent, fair and decentralized, UX is our next step.

Yes for now it’s ETH only.

I really like the idea behind it and the way you present your service - unlike so many other sites out there in this niche, your website doesnt look spammy at all --> very professional, thats refreshing, I like that. Personally I am not much of a lottery guy and there surely are other users in this forum to evaluate your technical solution but if thats all fine, I think you will do very well. Keep it up, the start looks promising. Smiley

Welcome to bitcointalk. You guys are coming up with an interesting platform for them who love to testify their luck. Although i think my luck isn't too wide to win lotteries either its online based or offline Smiley. Basically for a platform like this you guys have to be 100%+ fair with your platform users to establish your business on another level. Hope you will serve honestly with your lottery purchasers and most interesting thing is that you guys have a choosen a nice name for your platform. I have already visited your website and it looks nice & clean to me. Although keeping whitepaper link on popup like  isn't so professional where users need smooth entrance to take a visit on your website. Maybe others have different tastes about this.

Due to lack of time i haven't take a deep look but maybe others gonna do that for sure. Its not a big thing to create good looking website but its important to be fair and honest with service.

Yes you’re right, we are proud of the fairness Lottoshi can deliver because anyone (participant or not) can contribute to the randomness of the drawn numbers by committing a secret number, it’s very much like shuffling, creating true randomness is not yet possible yet, for any CS majors out there it’d be common sense, instead of faking our randomness, we give control back to the users with our methods.

Thanks for the tip, we are still optimizing our UX, we’ll learn more from the users and make adjustments.

It's not really working for me when I log in to invest.

It's redirecting to MetaMask. Is this normal?

Yes this is normal, the bets are placed directly through your wallet, so as you can see this is fully decentralized.
