Hello there,
I am fairly new in the world of developing an alt-coin from bitcoin's source code. I have a neat idea for an alt currency, not as if the world needs another, but the value I am looking to gain is the knowledge in learning how to develop it.
Therefore, I am looking for an experienced developer who would not mind teaching/working with me on this project. Truly, I am not trying to underestimate the difficulty and I want to be as realistic with the outcome as possible. However, someone out there has to be, not only for hire to teach, but would also be interested in this type of endeavour.
I will of course pay competitive rates, some up front and some upon decided milestones.
PM if interested. Never know, something real fun could come out of this.....or of course this just could be wasted babble

A bit more about myself.
Late 20's
Currently in school for second bachelors degree in computer science (first degree was in business management)
Low level of proficiency in Java, learning C now and have a small grasp of the Qt IDE(compiled bitcoin/litecoin desktop wallets with it)
Heavily involved in the bitcoin/altcoin community as a scrypt miner with over 20Mh/s
P.S. If this is totally out of line here, or in anyway offensive to this site, (I'm sure if it is I'll hear it right away) accept my unprovoked apologies.
Thanks for your time!
