Oh, hello.

I remember you.

bobby1776: 113 good reports.
I want you to know exactly why you got banned.

June 26: 63 of your posts were reported and deleted.
July 18: 48 of your posts were reported and deleted.

You made no effort to post higher-quality replies after the initial warning.

Note: I did not "hunt" your profile. I merely happened upon it when purging a spam megathread and found many similar insubstantial replies.
The 7-day ban is a heavy warning.
Post. Better.

I'm tired of the "I don't know English" argument. If you don't know, then you shouldn't be posting in an English board! Or at the very least, you should be making efforts to better yourself. But the English is not the problem. The posts were reported for being extremely vague, repetitive (i.e. repeating the same thing that's already been said in the thread 20 times) or completely nonsensical and irrelevant.

They weren't reported for having poor English.

If his ban really was the result of English not being his first language, then there are several members here who will help him to improve his command of English. His first requirement is a will to improve his English, and the second is a willingness to spend the time required.

I don't think this is the reason at all. I've seen a lot of posts with pretty much very broken english but are still ever so slightly understandable(and with some that are even so bad that they're barely understandable) that aren't being deleted at all.

I think it is the result of burst posting,
I can't be sure of that but modlog shows 35 deletions within the last few days
and I see that his last posts on 18th has only 1 minute gap in between
so one can assume he has a habit of making short posts within short period of time

Think of it like a second chance. He got a temp-ban for 7 days not a perma-ban. With 83 deleted posts, he should consider himself lucky.

Tell "your friend" to spend those 7 days in reviewing his post history and see what he was doing wrong. Next time it will be a perma-ban.

thank! So is this a temporary ban for 7 days? Or is it already completely banned account? I'm just not very good at it.
"Sorry bobby1776, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum. Low quality posts ( 7 days )"
He is not permabanned and since the message says 7 days it means he is only banned for one week.
The modlog shows all his recently deleted posts (a total of 35) and there is no log of him being banned. Since only perma bans appear in the modlog and temporary ban don't it means he can use his account again after 7 days.

Warn your friend and his son to improve their way of posting. If he continues in the same way the 2nd ban could be a permanent one.

It shows a week ban base on what you cited on the message of your friend, which means it is temporary. And base on the account the user is still wearing the signature on his profile which means he's not yet banned.

You imagine the hell that even bank cards can be used by other family members. This is not a problem in Europe.

That is not quite accurate, and banks do not support that.
It really doesn't matter to the general forum who is behind the keyboard, as long as you follow the rules and engage constructively.
It's not a permanent ban.
Whoever is posting should have a good command of English, or prioritize posting on local boards.
As @jetcash also noted, take lessons on English, it's not everyone's first language, but it's the standard in the forum.
He runs a program to support those willing to learn. I do not quite know if it's still active. But here's the link: http://fittotalk.com/english-talk/index.php
(His son can open a separate account and register, if he is the one who needs the lesson)

That's right, the message was written by my friend's son. He does not know English well. So they asked to know for what ban? Or for broken English or for posts of 2017?
And who else is here from your friend and family? Your friend's wife? Your friend's father?

I could only view two posts made by your "friend", and one of them was pretty low quality from this year.  The other was an expletive-filled tirade against C-CEX from 2017.  I suspect the account was purchased, and I say that because of the change in language style--but I only looked at two posts.

If someone can delve into this a bit and show some evidence that the account was bought, I'll tag it.  I don't have the time right now to do it, and I might be wrong anyway.

OP, if your friend is writing in broken English, that won't help his case.  Obviously this isn't an English-only forum, but many members try to post in English because their bounties only pay for posts in the main sections.  Also, there has been a lot of post reporting lately so your man may have gotten caught up in a cleansing.  I suspect he's posting in the spam sections like Bitcoin/Altcoin Discussion and so forth.

I'm not sure what your "friends" posts are
Ah, you beat me to putting "friends" in quotations.  I don't believe that load of BS either.

I am guessing it should be on spamming or maybe there is one user that probably looked at the account and report all those shitposts, one-liner spams or other synonymous to it. Base on the modlog information the user has 35 recent posts been deleted (see image below) by moderator/s and @asu pointed as well that the user has 83 posts been deleted by moderators as per bpip information, safe to say he is a spammer. Tell your friend to improve his posts next time his ban lifted, worst case is, maybe it wouldn't be a temp ban the next time.

Out of his 285 total posts, 83 of it was deleted by moderators.

Really low quality. Improve his post after the unbanned.

If you want more answer follow this...
Q: Why was my account banned?
A: You probably have broken one of the rules. Try emailing a message to the specified appeal email shown in your ban message.
And what does the low quality of messages mean? How is the quality of messages determined? briefly already write your thoughts prohibited on this forum?))

It means exactly what it means. Your posts were deemed as unsubstantial by not only the reporter but a mod who acted on the report. How would you determine if something was good or bad? I'm sure you're capable of doing that, right? Well that's what mods do. If most of your posts are just generic one liners with not much thought gone into them then a lot of people would consider that spam.

Some things like:
  • "wow thanks!"
  • "Nice post!"
  • "To the moon!"

Those are examples of the most obvious/lazy ones, but most spam comments are the ones where they're smart enough to not make them, but instead force themselves to churn out a generic, lazy comment that has been said hundreds of times before in a spam thread. That's probably what this guy got stung with.

There's also some huge gaps in his post history that you can see on the first page alone:

July 07, 2015 to January 12, 2016 and then
February 27, 2016 to May 19, 2017 and then disappears again until May 09, 2019

I'm not sure what your "friends" posts are, but low quality posts are pretty much posts that doesn't contribute to the conversation in any way at all.

Some things like:
  • "wow thanks!"
  • "Nice post!"
  • "To the moon!"

or something along those lines. It doesn't have anything much to do with the character length though. It's more with the sort of depth.

Good day. Tell me please what is the reason for the ban of my friend's account? Written that substandard message. I want to say that in most cases he writes his son. Is this the problem?

Sorry bobby1776, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
