the idea is that a new thread/topic will need to be approved by the moderator first before it can be displayed on the forum. And I hope it would decrease the amount of spam on this forum.

It would certainly help but would probably be too much work. I actually proposed something similar to counteract bots where every newbie's first post needs to be approved first before it goes live. Most didn't seem to be a fan of it because of the workload it would produce and theymos said it would be too difficult to implement.

Yes, unfortunately nothing is done about them. Even in the gambling section you have topics like, does gambling make you poor. But all those have been moved to the Gambling discussion section. I don't think anything can be done about the Bitcoin discussion.

Many of the low quality threads have been either locked or moved to off topic and there's many more to come. We're probably going to get much harsher with what is allowed there as well but Signature Campaign operators are also going to have to get more strict with how they run their campaigns and if they don't their signatures will be forcibly removed.

You can't blame them as it is their power to create their own thread/post but  my concern is some of them are similar to each other like "2016 Year of Bitcoin?" And "2017 Year of Bitcoin" well yes they are in different years But I am sure that they already have an outlook of 2017 in the 2016 post. Also signature camapaigns control the members from posting nonsense as what I see is that escrows are into some kind of quality management of a post.

Yup i basically noticed that it happens usually in the "gambling discussion" and "bitcoin discussion" sections. That it is why sometimes i do prefer to stay at service discussion or in the market place section. I also do think that micro earnings sometimes makes more sense.

But I also think that we need to change the system of posting a thread in this forum, the idea is that a new thread/topic will need to be approved by the moderator first before it can be displayed on the forum. And I hope it would decrease the amount of spam on this forum.

Nope... that won't solve the problem. The spam would just shift to other threads.
And think about the number of new topics created in press and marketplace sections... You would unnecessarily clog the bandwidth of mods.

They are nearly all low quality topics!  So many morons around here talking about nothing.

For example this stupid one:
"How Many Millions of People Use Bitcoin"

Yet, you just created another one...

It's not you who first noticed this infact someone already created a topic about how the forum has dropped to low quality
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/is-it-just-me-or-has-the-quality-of-this-forum-dropped-immensely-1637479
Infact I myself noticed this too.

Can't be help tho. The forum is overpopulated already by selfish people who wants nothing to earn. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy posting and I admit that I am also one of the signature advertiser here but these days, there aren't many topics that is worth replying to. I just hope these people will come to their senses and once againtry to contribute to everyones knowledge and stop creating rubbish threads and posts.

You can try to activate AGDs' ignore list so you can ignore those nonesense topics. I am aware that I am also part of that ignore lost. lol.

And there is this one "What is Bitcoin?"
and this one "What is Bitcoin Mining"
Actually, you don't have to worry about it, you just need to report the post to the moderator. Problem Solved.
